my take is everyone did the right thing. he put in the work, passed the tests required to play. but because the nature of the injury he was always going to have a problem and need a follow up procedure. many folks here suspected that was kept under wraps until he got drafted and now it comes out he might need more work done.Fair enough.
Looks to me like he rushed back to play before he was ready. I appreciate him pushing to get back. Many people thought the timeline was overly optimistic.
I do think the Sharpe fiasco has caused us to not trust a player’s motive. Regarding Peterson, it’s obvious he didn’t want to play when Self thought he was healthy enough to play. I don’t think that was case with JQ.
