What CRIMES has Fauci committed? I'm not asking about maga accusations, what crimes exactly?I will help you both.
A poster said… “That said I don't understand Biden's preemptive pardon of Fauci.”
dpic responded to that saying that was crazy and that Fauci should have been pre-emptively pardoned because he got death threats.
So I asked what does that have to do with absolving from any crimes he may have committed. He certainly won’t want that to apply to Trump who has gotten death threats. Nor should he.
Get it?
He created a bio weapon that killed millions of people then knowingly lied about it to the president, congress and most importantly the American public as he attempted to cover up what he did? What CRIMES has Fauci committed? I'm not asking about maga accusations, what crimes exactly?

I haven’t said he committed any crimes. And I don’t necessarily think he did. But you are saying he fully deserves a pre-emptive pardon because he had death threats against him. Which has zero to do with anything. Crimes are discovered during investigations and prosecuted after those investigations. What CRIMES has Fauci committed? He was being protected from a vindictive prosecution by the corrupt incoming administration that we all knew was on the table. This 80 year old man who had dedicated his life to science and the protection of our health did not deserve the public lashing that he would have likely received in courtrooms, so that was in addition to the indignity of being forced to hire private security for he and his family, not the sole reason. Anybody with an ounce of decency knew he wasn't responsible for the pandemic and Biden decided he wasn't going to let him be treated him like a villain in his few remaining golden years.I haven’t said he committed any crimes. A pre-emptive pardon absolves him from all of that doesn’t it? How on earth can you pardon someone without knowing what kind of crime he may or may not have committed?

I'm not up to date on this but I suspect the USA/Fauci directed some funds to Wuhan for gain of function research but I don't think the USA put up the majority of the money.
I do think that Fauci was dishonest through his deflections to cover his butt.
The virus escaped when Trump was in office so you can't blame Biden for what happened. That said I don't understand Biden's preemptive pardon of Fauci.
You’re now not only ignoring my point I said from the start but are also inventing strawmen about what I was implying. So I’ll say it again, what in the hell does him having death threats have to do with whether or not he should ever be charged with a crime? He was being protected from a vindictive prosecution by the corrupt incoming administration that we all knew was on the table. "During the campaign, President-elect Trump and his political allies—such as Sen. Rand Paul and Elon Musk—frequently called for Fauci to be investigated and prosecuted for his public health management and congressional testimony regarding COVID-19. Trump notably condemned the preemptive pardon as "disgraceful"

Biden pardons Fauci to preempt possible charges when Trump takes office
President Biden's pardon protects Anthony Fauci, a longtime target of MAGA critics, from charges related to the contentious debate over origins of Covid or other issues.www.statnews.com
But let's not pretend that you weren't implying that he may have been guilty.
So you agree that gain of function research is important? Or do you not understand what research is in practice?one of the problems in our government is there are lots of rogue people doing stuff that is concealed by big fat budgets and hiding stuff,
It does not matter who is President as the evil doers like Fauci simply did what they wanted to do without the knowledge of more stable mins.
or maybe this was a CIA project that went South, I don't blame Biden Trump Obama as this secret gain of function crap needs to be thoroughly vetted before allowing this type of research

I didn’t get to crimes. I asked what him having threats against him by MAGA has anything to do with him getting a pre-emptive pardon. Maybe you can explain what one has to do with the other since it’s so obvious to you.I understand that's your takeaway, but I don't understand why or how that got you to crimes, thank you anyway.
Death threats against Biden had nothing to do with it, and we all know it. I missed when @dpic73 said it, but I guarantee he would say it's not the ONLY reason.I didn’t get to crimes. Death threats against Fauci. Not Biden. He said because there were death threats against Fauci that he deserved a pre-emptive pardon. Everyone seems to defend that idea but no one can tell me why. What does one have to do with the other?Death threats against Biden had nothing to do with it, and we all know it. I missed when @dpic73 said it, but I guarantee he would say it's not the ONLY reason.
The preemptive pardon was for the EXACT reason that everyone with even less than half a brain knows- Trump has a habit of punishing and going after people who are perceived threats, opponents, or who his base hates. That includes Fauci.
You (and everyone else) is being pedantic- you know that the Trump administration would try and use the DOJ and all his political power to go after Fauci because maga thinks he's the "big bad" from covid. So Biden preemptively pardoned him, which might have seemed paranoid at the time, but after all this admin has done, it makes total sense and you have to have your head buried in the sand to think otherwise
I meant Fauci- he was tapped in first by Trump and continued his stint helping the covid 19 pandemic and the State's response to it from Trump to Biden's term. Maga and its conspiracy theory underbelly turned on him quick, and we all know what Trump does to those he/his base perceives as political opponents- he uses every means he has to retaliate- which we all know. It's just how he operates, and how his administration operates.Death threats against Fauci. Not Biden. He said because there were death threats against Fauci that he deserved a pre-emptive pardon. Everyone seems to defend that idea but no one can tell me why. What does one have to do with the other?
Wow. A lot of words to completely ignore the only single point I’ve made repeatedly. I’ll ask again, because it’s fun and weird watching you not answer a direct question. The ONLY question I’ve had since my first comment. WTF do death threats against him have to do with home deserving a pre-emptive pardon. Because that is what was contended and that is the ONLY point I am challenging. But we already know it was a stupid comment and that’s all you had to say. It wasn’t even your comment and for some reason you’re defending it.I meant Fauci- he was tapped in first by Trump and continued his stint helping the covid 19 pandemic and the State's response to it from Trump to Biden's term. So why are you questioning this at all? Are you dumb? Trump has tried to indict or prosecute a myriad of former political opponents to assuage his base for the past 2 years. But now you want to get pedantic about Fauci because you didn't like the state's covid 19 response?
Grow up. Get some balls. Be better. I'm sorry a global pandemic was hard for you, but whining about fauci (and idgaf about that dude literally AT ALL) isn't going to help you.
What's wrong with you dude? Stupid is this lame argument that I already answered earlier in this thread. I did not say the pardons were the ONLY reason he was pardoned. Why are you so intent on making this harder than it needs to be? I get it that you have a bug up your butt about me but chill the fvkk out, this is unnecessary.Wow. Death threats and the likelihood that the Trump administration would attempt to harass the man for the rest of his life and put him in jail was plenty good reason to give him a pardon. Because unlike Trump, he's not a criminal.
I saw you said that. It didn’t stop other people from chiming in and doubling down on the same point. What's wrong with you dude? But you kept asking ME, that's the problem.I saw you said that. It didn’t stop other people from chiming in and doubling down on the same point.
I explicitly said that "death threats" weren't the only reason for the pardon of Fauci. It was for political retribution that everyone and their brother could see coming.Wow. It gets old seeing maga claim that the virus escaped from a lab when that has never been proven because the Chinese refuse to cooperate. The wet market is a very plausible theory because 75% of all emerging viruses are zoonotic in nature, so why wouldn't that theory be dominant?
And there is no proof that he lied, that is simply a narrative. It's disgusting that this 80 year old man who has faithfully served our country for 50 years is being treated this way because Trump supporters don't want to place the blame where it belongs. Good luck ever getting competent medical professionals to work for the govt again after this despicable railroad job.
Known Human Pathogens: Of the approximately 1,415 pathogens known to infect humans, about 800 are classified as zoonotic. Viruses make up a massive portion of these, with major groups—such as influenza, coronaviruses, Ebola, and rabies—originating in animal hosts.
Viral Trends: RNA viruses—such as coronaviruses and filoviruses—are responsible for the vast majority of new zoonotic spillover events.
Viral Zoonoses - PMC
Zoonotic viral infections represent an important public health problem across the globe. Unlike infectious agents that are limited to humans, the presence of domestic and wild animal reservoirs and insect and arthropod vectors greatly complicate ...pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov
Out of 586 specific mammalian viruses known to science, nearly 45% have been detected in humans, with the vast majority (roughly 71%) of those being zoonotic in nature
The Trump administration made the U.S. less prepared and handled the response badly once it arrived.
They reduced U.S. public-health presence in China, reorganized or weakened pandemic-preparedness roles, botched the early testing rollout, and then spent months downplaying the threat and muddying CDC messaging instead of treating it like a serious public-health emergency.
The Trump administration made the U.S. more vulnerable before COVID and less effective once it was here.
Oh yeah I know but there might be some lurkers that learn something haha. You're trying to use logic on people who don't have the mental facilities to understand it?
I wonder if the people complaining about gain of function research… understand what gain of function research is?

We can justify anything as important and if asked I using common sense would ask ethical people about studying gain of function in a safe scientific manner.
In my opinion using a US funded lab in Wuhan China is not a responsible choice.
That goes for anything that dangerous being shared with someone like China
You’re grabbing a small part of his overall posting and fixating on it. The answer is all the other stuff he and others have been saying. He isn’t saying that alone is justification. Yet you keep asking. The death threats were just a symptom or added proof of the reason, which was the rights obsession of blaming Fauci for Trump’s loss. That they became obsessed and have made claims he killed millions. And it’s been clear, especially now, that had Biden not done that, he would’ve been charged with something no matter how dumb, just as retribution just like Comey, etc. You’re now not only ignoring my point I said from the start but are also inventing strawmen about what I was implying. So I’ll say it again, what in the hell does him having death threats have to do with whether or not he should ever be charged with a crime?
I mean, I don’t blame you for ignoring that point. You obviously realize how dumb of a comment it was.

He fvcked himself when he scrapped the Obama Pandemic plan..........he just wasn't smart enough to see it

And the FULL RESPONSE that I reacted to was this.
You have got to be joking about your last sentence. Fauci had to hire round the clock personal security for he and his family due to thousands of death threats that have never stopped ever since magadonia decided to blame him for the pandemic in order to absolve Trump for his catastrophic mis-management. Surely you jest.
I asked what the hell that had to do with a pre-emptive pardon. And you and the others are pissing your pants about something I never even addressed. I’m not looking for Fauci to be investigated or prosecuted. You’re wanting me to comment on something not posted.
I feel like your misunderstanding is a common misunderstanding for both the actual research itself, but, in particular, how research is funded. We can justify anything as important and if asked I using common sense would ask ethical people about studying gain of function in a safe scientific manner.
