It is not apples and oranges. Someone may be a pacifist, and not support the military. Or may have any other number of reasons why they don't want to support the military, or wear the flag ... including a reason tied to their religion. Yes, military appreciation nights, and breast cancer awareness nights ... and making people stand for the National Anthem ... and having military flyovers ... they are all "forcing" an agenda. They're just agendas YOU, personally, support. Many others do, too. But that doesn't mean everyone does.
I don't even necessarily disagree with you that these gay pride nights shouldn't be forced onto players, even though I definitely support the LGBTQ+ community. It's just that you don't actually understand what you're saying ... and you will condemn one action, because you don't support the underlying cause, and support another action, because you support the underlying cause, even though they're of the same type, and should be allowed or prohibited equally.
Have gay pride nights, if you want, but don't force people who object to do something special for it (like wear a special uniform, etc.) ... and if that would end up looking weird, then don't have the uniforms at all. Just like we should allow people to kneel for the Anthem ... the Anthem that shouldn't even be played, and we shouldn't have military appreciation uniforms, either. But you can have a military appreciation day.

WTF are you talking about? They own the team. They can tell their players to wear whatever uniform they like. Players can refuse. Management can then make a decision whether to bow to their employees or move forward. What they should have done was sit those players for the game and sub in for them.Let’s hope more teams start to do this.

I have no idea what you mean by "hypothetical"... it's in the major league rules that players can't make any modifications to their uniforms. The league gave them a choice. The only people "butthurt" in that situation were the players who were free to wear their standard gear but chose to wear the pride hats and make political statements.
