This isn’t as easy as you all think. If your work gave you a pride shirt and said you have to wear it, that is against the law. You can’t force your employees to do something like this. It’s like telling them they have to celebrate Juneteenth, Kwanza, Christmas, a Jewish holiday. I guarantee this will turn into a legal battle. If you want to celebrate as an organization outward to the public, fine, but leave the players out of it. You can’t force them to celebrate being gay if they don’t want to or believe in it as a religious person.

Also don’t see what’s wrong with a private organization with employees saying wear your uniform but the uniform is going to have rainbow numbers instead of the standard color numbers for a game. I don’t see how this is different than people not visiting the White House when their team is invited. Especially Olympic teams. If they were told they were wearing MAGA hats or pro life ribbons or “back the blue” ribbons and players didn’t want to wear them, I’m pretty sure they’d be celebrated for it. I’m sure there’s some homophobia involved but I’m guessing it’s more along the lines of “I don’t care what your sexual preference is and I’m not buying into celebrating it.”
