Has the deal already collapsed? The French seem to think so.

But there are now reports that the Israel-Hezbollah cease fire is finally in place. I'll believe it when I see it.

The first step in fixing this is to fire Trump. He is way in over his head. I can't believe we have a president openly telling the opposition that he's desperate for a deal, that his economy may collapse without one, and that we are only 4 weeks from running out of oil reserves, so he will give them whatever they want to get us out of there.

And if that's not bad enough, even after Trump gives them everything, he can't keep his twin brother from Israel screwing everything up within 24 hours.

Fire him. Even conservatives have to agree that Trump is too volatile and too stupid to stay president.

I do not have a pot to piss in. I'm a little classier than that. We use our pots only for cooking. I have 7 toilets to piss in, in my main residence, however. 4 others in the lake house. 4 others in the beach house. And you have a tiny brain, a tiny bank account and a tiny (read: micro) wang.

Not sure if this has already been commented on, I’ve definitely just skimmed some comments the last few pages.

According to this WSJ article, they’re tracing the ~6 billion that Qatar has in sanctioned Iranian money back to unsanctioned money from the Biden administration (from S Korea) for a deal to release American prisoners in Iran. But the hamas terror attack led to the money being sanctioned a second time.

I was wondering why Qatar would have sanctioned Iran oil money and this at least explains that part.


Now, I’m not saying this makes the deal good or bad, just sharing some additional information I’ve found. But there’s still not enough information about any of this, it’s almost as if Trump is overstating that status of the negotiations…

Trump and admin significantly underestimated Iran’s capabilities here. In terms of traditional military operations, we have completely obliterated Iran, but … all they need to bring the world economy to its knees or at least cause global chaos is a few sea mines, a few small fishing boats, and some shoulder fire missiles. All relatively cheap, easily hidden, and difficult to defend against …

only way to “win” here is for a full on operation, ground troops, and to occupy massive amounts of territory … and there is no way the American people will support that.

ya … welp … here we are.

That’s the thing. Everyone knew that was the case and Trump charged in anyway. I’m sure he thought it’d be easy and nobody could convince him otherwise.

A senior US official confirmed on a media briefing call that Operation Project Freedom — the covert mission to escort oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz — has been an "unsung hero" in the Iran negotiations.

Over 7 million barrels of oil per day were being moved through the Strait. This massively increased US leverage against Iran.

While the fake news was saying Iran controls the Strait — Trump was moving 7 million barrels of oil per day right through it. Iran had no power to stop any of it.

The max capacity of a supertanker is 2-3 million barrels of oil depending on the size of ship. 7 million barrels ain’t nothing, but it is not “massively increased leverage”.

And if we had massive leverage why did we capitulate on virtually every strategic objective Trump laid out?

But step one in getting Netanyahu under control is not being afraid to publicly challenge his actions. And that was an easy step that Kamala and Biden refused to do.

Trump has no control over Bibi. It's clear that Bibi controls him. Neither Obama nor Biden let Israel lead us into the dumbest war in generations. That honor belongs exclusively to the broken down 80 year old clown currently in office.
