Most of the gulf states are strongly in line with with the Trump plan.There is absolutely no way that any of that money gets secretly funneled to weapons or the Iranian military because other Islamic states will keep an eye on it.

Haven't read much of this thread but I've got some quick thoughts.
1. Iran is undoubtedly going to get almost whatever they want in this which isn't great. But I don't see a path for the US to "win" that doesn't involve boots on the ground.
2. Democrats in Congress need to criticize Trump for getting into this mess that caused an energy crisis in the first place rather than attacking the sh*tty deal he's making to get out of it.
3. Trump/Vance telling Israel that the US is the super power here and they need us more than we need them makes Biden/Kamala's kowtowing to Netanyahu in 2024 look even worse than it did at the time.
Now for a quick thot...

thats one of the problems with this agreement. The agreement is based on third parties who haven't bought in. So if Iran feels like they can control the strait every time Hezbollah lobs missiles at Israel and Israel responds then we're no closer to a resolution than we were before the MOU.
I still believe that military operations are going to be needed, and we've given Iran time to prepare for the next assault..
I hear you on this, but saying this after basically giving them everything they want somewhat lessens it doesn't it? Also, we've yet to actually see this be true. Saw reports Israel was still attacking targets in Lebanon, similar to the ceasefire in Gaza.
