Definitely notDid we burn Caden for the weekend, or will he be able to go?
2 days rest, 46 pitches. He’ll be good to go Saturday.
Sunday for sure.

Hate the circumstances that led to him having to throw 46 more pitches!Definitely not

You can pull for whoever you want but I'm pulling for UGA. In part because they're my second favorite team and in part because I want whoever wins that side of the bracket to have to play again tomorrow night. Any advantage for the Heels has my support!who we pulling for tonight?
Georgia!!! hopefully in a 14 inning game. And then another extra inning game to decide the winner tomorrow!!who we pulling for tonight?
You can't be lights out every outing but even a struggling Globe is damn good!Love that we won, but Globe looked visibly frustrated that he couldn't place his fastball for a strike in the last inning. Hope he gets in the pen and figures that out before this weekend because we will need him.
I appreciate that. (I mean that sincerely.) I stepped outside after they scored their 7th run and took a short walk, then came back for the bottom of the 9th to watch our last three outs. It worked. Just had to change something up. You know how it goes.Relax and enjoy the game. There’s nothing you can do to control the outcome of this game. Only four teams are left playing at the moment.
Lol negative nelliesThe end of game effort will send us home early vs OU or UGA but what a win heels!! Back in the champ series so proud of this team!
I expected him to throw about that many coming in the game. Wish Matty could have keep it going but it is what it is.Hate the circumstances that led to him having to throw 46 more pitches!![]()
Agreed, but I know he wants to figure it out. He looked annoyed that the last out was a warning track near-miss. We'll need him at his best, especially if we face Georgia. You can't be lights out every outing but even a struggling Globe is damn good!
they're all over this board ...Lol negative nellies
He threw one inning Sunday, 46 pitches today? Two more days rest? He’ll be fine to throw again Saturday.Great job getting it done. Hate the lapse, but if Jason can go deep on Saturday, McDuffie should be ready to go if needed. Would love to rest Glauber until Sunday or Monday if needed.
I feel very good... I don't feel great. Just one lazy play, a couple missed chances to make plays, inability to execute pitches, a FEW lucky ace bloops, lucky hits... If Coop isn't lazy we're prolly looking at a 12-2 win and no Globe pitching. Good news is that there is plenty of stuff for Forbes to get their attention with going into the final series vs. riding high thinking they're great.I expected him to throw about that many coming in the game. We should feel great about our situation.
Yeah it’s not even debatable. He’s thrown 55 pitches since Sunday. He threw a little over a side bullpen today. 46 pitches. He’s fineForbes says one hour rest for each pitch thrown. Globe is easily available Saturday.
Well…..WVU is a damn good team and those kids were playing for their baseball lives. They weren’t gonna lay down. The end of game effort will send us home early vs OU or UGA but what a win heels!! Back in the champ series so proud of this team!
I think if we don't have a huge lead, or this situation comes up this weekend, he'll get to stay in longer and work through his minor "hiccup" in the last inning. Forbes wanted to get those guys after Rose some work and hopefully build some confidence. But, the rest of our pen is unfortunately just what they've been all year. mediocre to sub-par. We really only have 5 pitchers that have been/ are truly trustworthy this year. Good news is that all 5 should be mostly ready to go. I do think the extended pitch count will take away the long relief option for Globe if needed on Saturday, which hopefully isn't a concern.Thrilled with the performance of Jackson Rose. He's the star of this game for me. He came in and calmed things down after Folger got off to a bit of a rocky start, then shut them down as we built our lead that ultimately won the game. Great to have him in a purple patch of form going into the finals.
YepDefinitely not

Right. It's funny - at the start of the postseason I had the feeling that our lack of depth after those 5 guys would spell our doom eventually as the tournament ground on and we'd need to burn arms. But miraculously, we've made it to the doorstep and all 5 of our guys should be rested and ready for the game Saturday. As far as Saturday, if there's anybody I trust to give us a deep outing it's DeCaro. Just really want to finish the job. This program deserves it after what they've done these last 20 years.I think if we don't have a huge lead, or this situation comes up this weekend, he'll get to stay in longer and work through his minor "hiccup" in the last inning.
