I have been very impressed with Armani Guzman this week.

He’s a menace like Trea Turner.

Nah. Usually with 1 out the contact play is on. That comes from the coaching staff. Anything on the ground, you go. If you’re out by a lot, get in a rundown and try to get the hitter to second. Nicholson didn’t have a chance to try to do that there.

Not with a glove scoop. Probably had a slight chance if he barehanded. Either way it was going to be tough. That's a hard play for a left handed pitcher.

I’m not telling you it’s what I’d do, I’m telling you it’s what happened. It’s very common for teams to go on contact with 1 out. It didn’t cost us anything considering the next guy didn’t get a hit.
