He only went once he saw the throw to the plate. If it’s a good throw he’s safe. It’s so far up the field, it aides the play. It’s good, aggressive baserunning where a bad throw actually aided them.
He's probably safe with a good throw from the catcher. That throw was great

Nah. Usually with 1 out the contact play is on. That comes from the coaching staff. Anything on the ground, you go. If you’re out by a lot, get in a rundown and try to get the hitter to second. Nicholson didn’t have a chance to try to do that there.

We’re going to have to outhit pitch and outhit our miscues today. Don’t think Forbes “sent” Nicholson on that play. Feel sure he was coached to see it through the infield on a ball hit that hard. Not time to get a decision from coach. Player makes that decision on his own.
