I got to wondering about the timing of this. I thought it might be related to Congress funding the war. I thought about the effect on mid term election primaries. Then it popped into my head that the timing was right before the G7 and first Fed meeting with Warsh in charge.

The thing is, Republicans will still win Red states because crazy liberal socialists are way worse than anything Trump could ever do. A high percentage of the “normie” will continue to vote red.

You have me confused with someone else...I never "brayed" about Obama giving pallets of cash to the Iranians. I'm not sure I was even on a board back then.

Maybe Trump just thought the Obama money giveback was such a good idea he decided to copy to copy it. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Maybe that's a better approach - trump has no ideas of his own, had to steal obama's

I do like though how you changed the discussion from one the lefts hypocricy over this to how others "brayed" back during the Obama years. That was really good.

This has to rank right up there with the worst geopolitical moves of all time. This will pay dividends for terrorists for at least the next couple generations if not completely flip the geopolitical map on its head. Just a complete disaster by a group of traitors to their country.

So even at the high end - $97 billion - once you subtract that from the $300 billion Trump is gifting them, they come out with a tidy $203 billion in profit.

Not a bad ROI.
