This is completely beside the point of this thread.
Is it though? The thread is about the 250th Anniversary Celebration of when actual Patriots stood up against a tyrannical King that was threatening to illegally tax the people. While some ITT are screaming "Merica" over this, I am certain an education in our history is on point as it relates to this thread.

Well thank ya fuh sparen the time to come into our little UFC thread and try n educate us po folk anyway.
We all know this thread isn't really about UFC. It just happened to be the event created for the celebration. Nice goofy rebuttal though. Super on brand to be honest.

I wasn't too sure about it either, but seeing it, it looks very nice and is a nice celebration of America. You might change your mind if you saw it, but maybe you aren't in the viewing these types of things with an open mind business.
Oh sure…men beating the sh.it out of each other on the front lawn of the WH is a really good look.

The irony within the 2 party political sheep spectrum is astonishing. Neither side is capable of calling out the negatives that reside with the party they support. They only waste time and energy while those they blindly support hangout and get along behind the scenes. The people just keep taking L's while their tax dollars are wasted on ********!

#1 I never bitched about using the White House for anything, but this was at least a celebration and our military was in the spotlight as much as the fighters.
#2 Calling Michelle a man was disrespectful but that was not on anyone at the White House. Republican or Democrat. Haven't seen one person in this thread supporting the statement.
#3 The crowd was celebrating America...they could have been like Knicks fans burning school bus' and rioting but...wait...they weren't. They celebrated America and the military while watching a well put together sporting event. Like UFC or not, it was a well done event and our military servicemen and women were celebrated as they should be but Trump put it on so some will not admit it was an awesome event. Throw Gay Pride flags out and have a dance party on the lawn and it woud be awesome though
How can it be an awesome event when it involved an ignorant human saying such vile remarks towards a former 1st lady? I get why you want to downplay it or simply ignore it as it relates to the event but it still happened with zero backlash from Trump or Dana White. This after Trump literally created a post on X mocking the Obamas as monkeys. No leader of this country should ever be celebrated when this is how they behave, Nick. It is a bad look and it was a slap in the face of our military. A military that is comprised of so many nationalities with varying political views.

That's what I thought at first, but it's actually about the UFC event at the White House which was specifically called "Freedom 250," which is embarrassing enough by itself. Bringing up that stuff is just going to lead down a tangent.

Freedom 250 is the Trump administration's umbrella term for all of the campaign style events they put together with donors to compete with the Congressionally approved America 250 celebration.

The whole damn thing is a tangent on purpose.

so a college football game cant be awesome if one dumb a s s makes a stupid comment it has a stupid celebration. One persons stupid actions doesn’t tarnish an entire event.

The military people involved and military people I know seemed to enjoy it. I guess you and others would rather have some Gay Pride event shoved down our throat.

Fact is, it was a successful and well done event.

It's that, but it's also the specific name of UFC Freedom 250, which was happening yesterday. Yes, it was ridiculous, and arguably was just done as a Trump rally for his birthday. But I don't think the OP intended for the thread to be about all the events planned.

As a fan of mixed martial arts, I watched and enjoyed it.

I'd have figured it would have been on the 4th of July or closer to the date since it was said to be a celebration of the USA's 250th year since the declaration of independence.

Well, it kinda was supposed to be until our friendly neighborhood leftists showed up to save the day, aka wreck the thread. I mean, going in to it on paper it was one of the greatest cards in ufc history, though it turned out to be a lot of mismatches.

This would imply that only republicans watch UFC. That would be an ignorant assumption. Just as ignorant as the one fighter calling Michelle Obama a man, unprovoked. You can't blame the sheep on left for that trash.

so is saying an entire event is trash because one person does something dumb but here we are

I don't think it's a stretch or controversial to say a combo motor sports rally/combat sport on the lawn of the White House is trashy, with or without the sophmoric comments.

Why saying so is offensive to people that have embraced lowbrow entertainment is a mystery. Seems more of an issue of being overly sensitive about other people's opinions than anything else.

good news the whole event was trash in that setting not just the redneck spewing racist tropes about black people just like Trump did on his account. it's very telling that you are always triggered by getting gay stuff shoved down your throat in your Freudian words, but i don't think i remember you saying a peep about the leader of the free world posting images of the Obamas as monkeys.

the idea that you think inviting some rando gay people to the WH is in any way comparable to the corporate shilling spectacle of white trash that we witnessed this weekend in a place that previously expected some level of decorum before the guy responsible for the J6 redneck uprising took office again is really sad.

You guys pitched a fit and boycotted the NFL over Kaepernick kneeling quietly during the national anthem.

So you’re admitting CK actions were dumb as ****? I agree

Hate to piss on your phaggot parade, but Dems were all up in their feels (per usual) before the dummy said anything about big Mike

Its not that. What if I hopped in the CWS thread and said baseball is stupid and the games sucked but I havent and wont watch? Its those type of comments that I don't understand
If they plowed up the front lawn of the WH and put in a baseball field and then held a tournament owned by a private company that POTUS had just invested in… yeah, I’d comment negatively on that and I watch lots of baseball.

Dude, I said that I didn’t like it and my response was not the least bit political. I have not engaged in any political talk in this thread at all. I simply asked what Freedom 250 was, because I had no clue. I honestly thought it was a concert. Yet, you tell me to “take a lap”. That was the first **** talk of the thread.
Let’s see

are you a Democrat or republican?

I’m not sure how that’s relevant, unless you’re trying to make this into some sort of pointless partisan tit for tat. If, like me, you didn’t like using the WH to advance progressive views on sexuality and having lewd displays there, I’m not sure the way to respond is having fights on the front lawn where tatted up cretins are calling Michelle Obama a man. Other people being dumb and crass shouldn’t make you dumb and crass.
That’s not the point.

the point is that those complaining about this didn’t complain about advancing progressive views on sexuality and having lewd displays.

lol tf are u even talking about man? good lord.

and btw the one dipshit who went topless at the WH was denounced and summarily banned from ever coming back.

you worried about lewd displays and "progressive views on sexuality" but out here voting for Epstein's best friend. why is it that Trump talked all that Epstein stuff for years and years and then when he got back in office he told his Justice Dept to bury it? wake up man.

lots of sexual deviants out there in DC and they weren't dancing topless on the WH lawn. they were raping little kids with their best buds from New Yawk and you voted for them three times.

I’m sure that you’ve already judged me. However, I have voted Republican or Libertarian in every election of my life, and I’m 57 years old. I’m really not sure why it matters.

It only matters to those who (whom? I’m terrible at grammar and syntax) belong to a tribe.

Objectively, it has nothing to do with the topic.

Classism is denying the humanity of people because they’re poor.

It’s not classist to acknowledge the general cognitive realities of economic achievement.
No one gets forced into mma. Young testosterone fueled males like to fight. People love it due to the violence. Goes all the way back in recorded history and further im sure.
