I was thinking about if she was corded, the momentum away from the concrete pier would ultimately swing back right toward the concrete. A legitimate bridge jumping organization knows you jump between the piers. They also know cords & straps.Even if she was attached, workers walking unsecured on that cement “plank” holding a body above them seems dangerous enough.

Jan Davis was part of a protest BASE jumping off Yosemite. She didn't want her gear confiscated so she borrowed a rig. Turns out she should have checked to see how it worked since it was different from her own. She wasn't able to figure it out after she jumped and she fell over 3,000 feet while her husband videoed it.I don't think it really mattered...

Yeah. Despite having full faith in the crew and watching them attach the cords to the people that jumped before me, I still just had to make sure. It's just one of those things.They should all go to jail but... if I'm doing that, I'M making sure I'm attached to something before I go over the edge.
