I read that the employees were arrested, but I have no idea if true or not.

Even if she was attached, workers walking unsecured on that cement “plank” holding a body above them seems dangerous enough.
I was thinking about if she was corded, the momentum away from the concrete pier would ultimately swing back right toward the concrete. A legitimate bridge jumping organization knows you jump between the piers. They also know cords & straps.

How far down do you suppose she was before she realized there was no cord?
I don't think it really mattered...

Anyone ever watch the HBO series " Dark Wizard " about wingsuit flyers Dean Potter and Graham Hunt? Of course I knew how it was going to end but kept wondering, why. Why do people do things that they know will eventually lead to the end of their lives and scar the people they love...

They should all go to jail but... if I'm doing that, I'M making sure I'm attached to something before I go over the edge. What the heck did she think was going to happen?

Bungee jump? I think it's fun.. I was also attached to a cord, which made it much better.
Did you check to make sure you had a cord attached? Truly curious.

Jan Davis was part of a protest BASE jumping off Yosemite. She didn't want her gear confiscated so she borrowed a rig. Turns out she should have checked to see how it worked since it was different from her own. She wasn't able to figure it out after she jumped and she fell over 3,000 feet while her husband videoed it.

Yeah. Despite having full faith in the crew and watching them attach the cords to the people that jumped before me, I still just had to make sure. It's just one of those things.

Had many a friends do it on spring break trips to Florida destinations. Yeah, no. I’m not trusting carnie level workers with my life then they ask you to sign a liability waiver before they hook you up for $150.00. That too much beer money gone for a week of partying with naked and half naked chicks.
