Philly trash. Perhaps I'm old fashioned, but please sit appropriately-spread eagle is not a good look. And anyone this emotionally invested in watching another team lose should find other ways to be happy.
That was the first thing I saw...and when I see someone with a microphone in their hand in what is supposed to be an "in the moment" video- I just shut their fake asses off
man- you really have a strange complex about this. Places like LA and anywhere the Raiders play most likely have the worst ever but we are on the other side of the country from them. Philly just has a bad reputation. It has nothing to do with anything bad that may happen elsewhere. And the reason most of us are calling you out is because you had to jump on starting a thread as fast as you could. Not so much to just talk about it, but to try to throw it in the faces of anyone that ever had a bad thing to say about your fans. And you know that is exactly why you did it.
I don't defend the behavior at all. I have had to wear opposing Jersey's to many cities for games. I have seen good and bad in mult cities and stadiums. Personally- Philly wasn't much different than any of the others. At least, not to me- but maybe because I don't act like a jerk going into another stadium with an opposing jersey. But, I have seen other people get harrassed and such many times- usually, drinking has a lot to do with it and usually- both parties had a part in the problem.

I didn’t even mention anything about Philadelphia, or any other city other than NYC in the OP.
The intent was to bring to light the appalling behavior and crime that was occurring outside one of America’s iconic arenas. I thought it was OT worthy and didn’t see anyone else bringing the discussion.
I was actually surprised at what has transpired the past week because this board almost had me convinced this doesn’t happen in NYC, or happen in other cities.
It’s interesting you think I’m “excited” by my OP or posting, meanwhile if this thread was actually about Philadelphia you wouldn’t be saying the same about all the posters engaging in the discussion or ripping on that city and the fans (maybe because you yourself are one of those posters).
Nothing about violence or criminal activity excites me bud. And I definitely don’t try to rationalize or make excuses for this behavior, no matter what city or fans are carrying out the acts.

I think the free watch parties are a mistake. Anything free or cheap is overwhelmingly more prone to attracting disorder (budget motels, airlines, cruises etc are generally better to avoid if possible) . People in restaurant and club businesses that start to have live entertainment at night often dont want cover charges and then learn the lesson the hard way.

Making a big deal about this ticket blocking thing is stupid. It’s only Ticketmaster directly from the Spurs. No other website is blocking tickets. Just trying to make yourself feel good by saying you’re trying.

I had no intent in talking about the city of Philadelphia or their fans in this thread and would have been happy to keep to it what was happening outside MSG, trust me.
It wasn’t until a number of other people began bringing up Philly and straying away from the OP that I engaged in conversation.
You’re digressing from the original point of our direct interaction now, so I’ll let it be.
Just remember that there are scumbag fans everywhere and we don’t need to try and search for explanations of why people might be acting like scumbags which you attempted in this thread, most likely because it was about NYC.
You’re absolutely right this thread was expected because nobody seems to ever want to discuss lawless or scumbag behavior on this board when it happens in NYC, or with NYC fans.
So I took it upon myself to bring it to light.
If you want to say I have a complex because:
- I’m repeating what I’ve been told on this board in the past or
- Myself (and others) have observed that there is usually little to no talk about bad behavior / viral videos on this board when it involves NYC fans
Then so be it.

The TV crew was tough to take and then the same ole bimbo questions. "What are you feeling" is all they know how to ask. I would rather they save that question for Spike. I agree with this. And it happens everywhere.
With that said- in normal games/circumstances- if anyone is a fan of tge away team, wear your stuff, cheer for your team, don’t be a dick about it and many times, get to know the other fans and just have some “good” fun and you will most likely have a great time.
Last night, more BS by fans but I say fans loosely. MST of the trouble makers were there only to cause trouble. And so many are so stupid to have pics taken and posted to SM of them acting like their damage was a trophy.

Certainly not on the same level but I remember the 2006 RU Louisville game. Fans stormed the field. I had to make a decision do the same or head back to the car where my wife, mom and young daughter were. Terry ran halfway thru the purple lot to find me. We hugged and cried while mom had my daughter in the car. I wanted to remember every single moment of the game and celebration. Never understood getting so sh*tfaced celebrating and causing violence no matter what city you are in. The only memory some of these people will have is a police record.
