And the 1st red card of the '26 World Cup. Good call, IMHO.

And with Mexico dominating the play up to this point, and now RSA playing down a player (in this heat), it's hard to see how RSA can avoid a defeat in this match. But, that's why they play the games.

Another red card for RSA. The call wasn't incorrect by the rules. But this aspect of VAR I'm not a huge fan of. In real time, virtually no ref is giving even a yellow card on this play -- it's just something that happens in the game. But with VAR taping everything, plays like this become a red card, which I'm not a fan of.

And a red card to Mexico. Pretty dumb to get a red card in stoppage time, when your team is up 2-0. This call is correct by the book, though you could make a case for a yellow being the appropriate call.
