New Athletic Director not from within the Program?

The last update we received was on May 21st, when the school announced Barnhart’s replacement would carry the titles of athletic director and CEO of Champions Blue LLC, but other than that, it’s been a relatively quiet search for the school.
The Wildcats have had a plethora of candidates on the board, but it seems they’ll go with an external hire once they make a decision.
“It would be a major surprise if Deputy AD, Marc Hill, or any other current Barnhart lieutenant were promoted to the job,” Jon Hale said in a recent article for the Kentucky Herald Leader.
The program is looking to hire someone who “is an experienced athletic director and people with varied backgrounds in pro sports and business,” UK president Eli Capilouto said in the updated job description.

I was just getting ready to come post this man this is really good news . They are going to pay $30,000 and have a firm do the searching! This is what needs to happen!

—Not part of the current administration or athletic department (this one is a big plus)
or
—Not at all related to the wider Kentucky Basketball family/BBN and no previous ties to the program at all in any sense (this one is FOR F**K, REALLY!?? WE’VE GOT ALL THESE RICH RESOURCES OF FAN LOVE AND CAPILOUTO FINALLY FOUND A WAY TO CUT US OFF FROM ALL OF THEM FOREVER, FINALLY THOUGHT UP AN ANGLE TO GUARANTEE OUR AD CARES EVEN LESS ABOUT KENTUCKY BASKETBALL SUCCESS THAN MITCH BARNHART!!!!!
