I think the word "reseeding" is throwing some people off. I'm not saying Troy didn't earn their spot in a Super Regional. They absolutely did. What they didn't earn as the 13th or 14th best team still alive is the privilege of having the easiest or 2nd easiest path to Omaha at this point. That was luck.
All I'm saying is don't predetermine which regional matches with which regional beforehand. Figure that out after all the Regionals, using the same pre-established 1-64 national seeds (which the committee makes but does not release past 16). This year, it would be St. John's and Little Rock going on the road to Auburn and Georgia in some order, and then on down the list. This seems objectively more fair to everyone and more likely to get the best teams into Omaha, which we all want.
