So, what is your complaint concerning Pope’s recruitment of Hampton? You chimed in when I responded to another poster (or is that one of your socks?). How is Hampton’s recruitment similar to McBride?
Travis seems like one of the most levelheaded observers of these sorts of things.
My complaint is that Pope is the one handling our recruiting.
I wish people like you could be honest about Pope so we can just move on from this clown. You're a bright guy, you know hoops, you have some good takes. Are you just blinded by the Cal hate? Why do you have a blind spot for Pope's suckiness?

He didn’t say he knew. He said it was a toss up with Kentucky being who he is hearing the most on.

It ain’t that deal. You’ll need a new theory. I wanted Cal to succeed but also was frustrated. He was a groundbreaker and took a ton of heat that only dropped when the Blesed Coach K beat Cal at Cal’s own game. But, Cal did not have an answer to weak recruiting years and K’s dominance.
He ran. Now? Now I enjoy a Cal presser every now and again, but I admit I like to see him lose. He dumped us in a bad spot.
I hate social media. Seriously, I do. It’s one of the worst inventions of my lifetime. Don’t try to change by mind. I use it often, but Id be so happy if it went away forever. And this specific Milan adventure really has nothing to do with my opinion. Carry on.
Here are the only things we seemingly know for sure: Louisville and UK are pushing the hardest with uk being higher in money. This is a few days now but he committed to neither.
So imo we can deduce he really wants Arizona to at least bring a competitive offer. That's the only thing he can really be waiting on.

As we and two other fans sit here waiting, it makes me wonder how this reflects on Excel Sports. Obviously Milan is the last “big fish” but will coaches shy away from them in the future for say smaller fish?

If MM goes elsewhere then the problem seems to be with elite recruits specifically. That's either JMI somehow limiting far ranging market opportunities or players wanting to trust their career in the hands of a pure alpha coach rather than Pope, or a combination of both.
