This recruiting story is sounding too familiar. At this point I've lost interest and am submitting to another mediocre season. Sorry, just not very confident in Pope's inability to land a star player. Maybe this will be the final season for him after all.

- Not perpetually but I do think they will give him a 4th year with a S16. No bueno. I would want to get rid of Pope even with a title (I mentioned in another thread many subpar coaches who have lucked FF and even titles). However, I fully acknowledge there is no way you can dump him in good faith if he makes a FF or better, so I would be for keeping him. I also think your EE threshold is fair. Absolutely nothing lower, though.

- We should be getting the pick of the litter, if we want to retain status as the #1 CBB program. How can you be #1 if you can't get any good player or coach? That's why nobody calls UCLA #1.
