and the Duff ManGodwin had a good game plan and worked it for a lead for a few innings. Forbes was calm, matched it, and overcame. Nice job!
Loved the atmosphere. It was getting chippy in my section. LOVE IT
ECU’s offense was very impressive. I might be pulling for VCU tomorrow. Godwin also annoys me, and their fans were super obnoxious leaving the Bosh tonight.
This might be unpopular what I’m about to say but…
Decaro in back to back years has not stepped up when we’ve needed him, especially compared to the performances put on by Lynch. Last years Supers and now this years Regional. Regardless, huge win for the Heels

Did you watch the game? In case you didn't, the "hits" surrendered by DeCaro, which led to the 2-run first inning, were two seeing eye singles and a duck snort.
Nobody squared him up until the hard single (thanks to Hull) to RCF in the second.
Jason's pitching was marred only by poor contact finding grass more consistently than usual, and a plate that, evidently, had no black--certainly, in the third.

I don’t know who is still available for them, but my guess is someone else starts vs VCU but then Norby comes in if they get in any trouble.

No use saving him unless you mean using him in the VCU game as a reliever. And that’s almost certainly the way it’s going to play out. Saving him for game 6 is saving him for no reason if you can’t get by game 5.
Rose has been MILES better out of the bullpen vs. starting, and Forbes has said multiple times that Boaz is more comfortable starting than coming in out of the pen. You may end up getting more innings out of Rose than Boaz but I would be SHOCKED if Boaz didn’t start.
I think Baddour liked him when he first hired him.
He went 3.2. Regardless of what happened, that’s not good enough

He went 3.2 vs Arizona in the supers game 2 last year as well. We need him to be better than 3.2 innings pitched.
If there is any thinking by ECU to save pitchers against VCU they may be on the way back to Greenville about 4:00 PM.

Honestly, there wasn’t an overwhelming amount of ECU fans, but the ones there were there were pretty obnoxious.

I mean to be fair DeCaro had his worst outing to date and the bats were not capitalizing on RISP. There was reasonable concern early on.
Forbes told us in his presser tonight that Boaz gets the nod tomorrow.
