This might be unpopular what I’m about to say but…

Decaro in back to back years has not stepped up when we’ve needed him, especially compared to the performances put on by Lynch. Last years Supers and now this years Regional. Regardless, huge win for the Heels
Did you watch the game? In case you didn't, the "hits" surrendered by DeCaro, which led to the 2-run first inning, were two seeing eye singles and a duck snort.

Nobody squared him up until the hard single (thanks to Hull) to RCF in the second.

Jason's pitching was marred only by poor contact finding grass more consistently than usual, and a plate that, evidently, had no black--certainly, in the third.

Heels have two on with one out in the sixth

Does ECU go Norby against VCU or save him if they win? I have a feeling they try to save him
No use saving him unless you mean using him in the VCU game as a reliever. And that’s almost certainly the way it’s going to play out. Saving him for game 6 is saving him for no reason if you can’t get by game 5.

He went 3.2. Regardless of what happened, that’s not good enough

Rose has been MILES better out of the bullpen vs. starting, and Forbes has said multiple times that Boaz is more comfortable starting than coming in out of the pen. You may end up getting more innings out of Rose than Boaz but I would be SHOCKED if Boaz didn’t start.
Boaz starts, gives up 3 runs and exits before the 4th

Well, what would you do about bad luck? Grab a hanky and swoon in hysteria?

Your "square-jawed put down" suggests that that you have one handy in each pocket. An absolutist--except, I'll bet, when it comes to yourself.

He also went 3.2 in last year’s Super that the OP referred to. If you chalk that up to bad luck and claim any comment about it is hysteria then okay.

Home from the party and watched the recorded game. ECU played great. Glauber and McDuffie on the mound, Hynek and Gallaher at the plate, played better.

I didn't realize we were discussing anything but today's game, which you apparently didn't watch.

Blaming pitchers for seeing eye singles and duck snorts is a fool's errand. Why not just cop to it?

Forbes told us in his presser tonight that Boaz gets the nod tomorrow.
