What is this dud? I thought it was a typo but you keep going with it. No body is catching on it to if that was your plan.

you just sound like an inbred that can’t spell. Par for the course with you I know, God loves you if no one else does.
Oh, Dud. You’re precious with your continued attempts to needle. Back to ignore, so I won’t see any more posts about my balls. Have a good life.

Could very well see the starting lineup be

Zoom
Kam
Milan
McBride
Moreno

Wilkins as 6th man/first guard off the bench
Morton
B. Hawthorne
N'Diaye
Kepnang

Noah
Potter
Williams
Z. Hawthorne

Zoom
Wilkins
Momcilovic
Williams or N'Diayne
Moreno

*I think Pope will opt for Williams for his defense and ability to spread the floor. To start games we can run 4 out and then sub accordingly with N'Diayne, McBride, Hawthorne, and Kepnang.
Having 2 lengthy knock down shooters on the wings opens up the lane for guards. It also allows Moreno to operate without getting doubled.

KWill and MilMom on the perimeter with two guards that can drive seems like it could be lethal. I like that starting lineup. Let McBride and ON come off the bench. Both those guys could also be deadly from deep.

I don’t think many on this board give Kam enough credit.
I think the opposite. Many on this board give Kam too much credit.

He wasn’t good enough to start for this year’s disappointing team. And he struck me as a rather limited player when I watched him. Yet a lot of folks now act like he’s a “must start” guy next season. I don’t quite get it.

Personally, would like the following if Milan decides to come to Lexington

Zoom
Wilkins
Milan
McBride
Malachi

Lacking on defense, but would be difficult to guard.

I also like Perry Stevenson’s thoughts on Milan playing the 4. An opposing 4 chasing Milan around screens and DHOs would cause problems, plus Milan likely has a better chance defending a 4 than a 3.

I posted about the virtues of that line-up a few days ago: Two guys 6'8'' who have track records of hitting 40-plus percent from 3 opening up driving lanes for Diallo and Wilkins with Moreno inside demanding attention from the defense -- with a great mix of size and athleticism coming off the bench with N'DIaye, Kepnang, Hawthorne and McBride. Should be a lethal and versatile line-up. It's a classic 4-out starting line-up, with the size off the bench to modify that so teams would be off balance.

The coaching staff would need to figure out the best style of defense to play and keep the rotation going to have rebounders in the game as much as possible. But Villanova, to name one, during its championship runs was able to defend and rebound adequately with a line-up smaller at every position than that Kentucky line-up would be.

A final word on the Kam Williams debate: I watched a lot of his video at Tulane. And I get the competition was lesser. But I don't think we saw him at his best at all last year. He had some adjustment issues. Then, seemed to be ready to break out in games against St. John's and Mississippi State. Then he got hurt. When he came back, he was still limited. I think there is every reason to expect a strong year from him.

That's the line up I believe you see to start, but I disagree on it being bad defensively. Zoom and Moreno both grade as solid or better. Wilkins was a freshman, so he should improve. McBride grades below average defensively but rebounds well, but if he stays engaged can defend. Momcilovic is bad across the board. The bench should be average to above average defensively with Kam and Kepnang both + defenders, Morton has good steal/rebound rates.

You should see a team that plays fast and uses tempo to cause turnovers. With 2 centers that erase at the rim.

Yep not a lineup in the country I'd take over this one. Embarrassment of riches

Could see them matchup hunting to where Kam is guarded by a 3, but defends a 4 and vice versa for Milan. Kam is a more capable defender on 4’s than Milan IMO (just hoping we can land Milan)

Pope did what? No announcements yet and still some wavering by the talking heads and "insiders" (except Jerry).
I think if MM DOES pick UK, it's evident from what has transpired that Pope did more to hurt than help, and the deal was likely saved by a booster calling the agent and spelling out in no uncertain terms that he would personally see to it that Pope doesn't mess his client up (whether it be financially, developmentally-- whatever the camp is having reservations about)

Maybe — but personally I don’t care.

It’s Elite Eight or bust for me, with or without Momcilovic.

This is exactly the OPPOSITE of how I’d do it. I’d have Milan guard the 4 on defense but play the 3 on offense. And vice versa for Kam.

Why would you have the slower guy defending the 3 and the quicker guy the 4? That’s the opposite of how defense normally works. And why would you have the nation‘s best three-point shooter be the one who plays less on the perimeter on offense?

Your logic seems quite illogical to me.

That’s the opposite of how it’s supposed to work.
Depends on who the opposing 4 is, I wouldn’t want Milan guarding a Paulis or Donnie Freeman, but I would trust Kam to do it more. It’s like the small times when BG guarded guards and gave them problems, positional defensive versatility matters and I think those two playing the 3/4 next to eachother gives us some of that. But I definitely see your point that it wouldn’t be everytime

He started 7 games and then got hurt.

That’s my guess at the starting 5 if we sign him.
I think Kam is our 6th man. I also think it will be interesting to see the different lineups pope can use with this team.
