I saw that the other day and thought it was pretty good.
If you ask me Hollywood missed the boat on Superman. He's right there. Poz is the very definition of squared jaw.
And I agree with LA. it's a tough room but I put Poz at the top or #2 on the list at LBU.
Shane Conlan is my #1. Toughness and playmaking were unmatched and he was a very underrated athlete.

Perhaps the most underrated LB at PSU was Mac Morrison. He was stuck between LaVar and Short and didn’t get any publicity, but the guy was a baller.

My top 2 has to include Poz, but as others have said it is soooo hard to narrow that list down.

My apologies to the thread and to the poor dead horse I keep beating, but I feel compelled to push Dennis Onkotz for a slot on the Penn State Linebacker Mt. Rushmore.

Because Denny was not a star in the NFL, he often gets forgotten amid the talk of the "best ever." I feel that his prowess as an inside LB who could stuff the run yet have so many interceptions (some even returned for 6) while also returning punts (also some for touchdowns) qualify him to be at the front of the conversation.

Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. Onkotz returned punts? So Gerald Hodges wasn’t the first PSU LB to do it? BO’B wasn’t the original engineer of the idea?

LB99, I couldn't remember the exact numbers, so I looked them up (from Penn State Media Guides):

1967 - Onkotz returned 5 punts for 86 yds, 1 TD
1968 - Onkotz returned 18 punts for 208 yds, 0 TD
1969 - Onkotz returned 24 punts for 325 yds, 1 TD

Also looked up Denny's interceptions:
1967 - 6 interceptions for 179 yds, 2 TD
1968 - 4 interceptions for 83 yds, 1 TD
1969 - 1 interception for 13 yds, 0 TD*
* - he added 2 more interceptions in the Orange Bowl
