He’s the difference between a 7-10 seed and a first round exit and the potential to reach the Elite Eight.
I can
DEFINITELY agree with this and I certainly hope we end up with him. With the money he will be making, he will be under
TREMENDOUS pressure to do only one thing ... make threes at a high percentage clip. I sure hope is a consistent enough shooter to do exactly that, much like Brea did. Pure shooters can shoot consistently ... most of the time. His performance against Tennessee to end the season is concerning, but I hope that is simply an outlier, as he played 33 minutes, scoring 6 points on 2-9 shooting.
Of course, we know Tennessee is a great defensive team and they clearly were out to stop him. They can do that ...
As I've said here before, I hope the team is committed to getting him at least
eight (8) threes a game, if not more.
He needs to take that many shots !!
He is a legitimate three-point shooter, with a 35.9%, 39.6% and 48.7% progression to a 42.8% career average. Hopefully, he can take at least
three hundred (300) threes for us this season and hit them at a
45% or better rate. That would really stretch the defense and open up driving lanes for Diallo, Wilkins and Morton, to say the least.
