Clinton Shepherd vs Kellen Wolbert, Askren Wrestling Academy is underway.

Shepherd gets in on the first short but Wolbert fends it off the first time but not the second time. Takedown for 2 and leg lace for 2 and then they break apart with Shepherd leading 4-0. Back to neutral after a stalemate. Wolbert moves forward and tosses Shepherd out for an exposure and a step out to 4-2. Restart and Shepherd gets a step out of his own to 5-2. The second period is underway. Shepherd shoots on a double and gets the takedown for a 7-2 lead before a stalemate stops the action. Wolbert gets in on a single and drives Shepherd off the mat for one and one and a 7-5 lead now with Shepherd starting on his belly off the restart. No scoring. Going back to neutral. There are two minutes left. Shepherd attacks but Wolbert fends it off. He then shoots in and takes Shepherd down to tie it at 7-7 at 1:30. Wolbert leads on criteria. Back to wrestling and they’re exchanging shots but no one lands one. Then Shepherd gets in on a low single and finishes it to 9-7. There are 40 seconds left. Now 30. Front head lock for Wolbert but Shepherd ends up with two for an 11-7 lead as they go off the edge which Wolbert’s corner will challenge with eight seconds left. The challenge is disallowed, giving Shepherd a point. That’s the final

Shepherd d Wolbert 12-7

Given McAndrew is at a history conference, I have two questions which you may or may not be able to answer.......

1) Who killed Kennedy?
2) What is Asher's injury?

Asher kept holding his L rib. I think he also got the wind knocked out of him - it all seemed to have happened when Ramos sat back hard on Asher.

Lockett vs Routledge with the winner getting James in a best of 3. Lockett vs Routledge might be a preview of who wins the 165 spot at OkSt this upcoming season

Jarrett Wadsen teched Michael White first round and just lost to Mantanona 13-13 on criteria. Kid is pretty good. He’s a 184 redshirt freshman at SDSU. I wonder if he has anything to do with why Berge transferred?

Burnett up now against Ramirez! Should be a good one. Burnett will be a senior at Perrysburg HS before making his way to PSU. Ramirez is entering his 2nd year at OkSt.

No real action in the first minute. Burnett goes on the clock first. No committed attacks yet and Ramirez gets his shot clock point. 1-0

Really slow first period. Neither guy fired off an attack at all. 1-0 at the break

Now Ramirez goes on the clock. 2:00 left

1-1 Burnett leading on criteria.

Burnett back on the clock 2-1 Ramirez

Burnett finally ups his attack rate but Ramirez defending well

Burnett with a late td!! He wins 3-2 with a td with:10 left!

Boring match until the last :30. Burnett found a way. Will get Cortez in the best of 3 final

Alright finally watching this one. But the scoreboard nor the clock is working. And the audio is lagging. This is fun! What I'm sure of is Dekraker leads 6-2 after one.
