You beat them silly? What if your server steals your credit card information?
Dig the avatar, man. We'll see how long it lasts, hahaThe simping for armed officers of the state should be studied.
Well that depends, is the server armed? Because if not, there's no comparisonWhat if your server steals your credit card information?
I guess it's time for me to depart then. Vaya con dios. It’s a general discussion board now.
You ain’t gotta do all that. Is what it is.I guess it's time for me to depart then. Vaya con dios.
The difference is another person is involved and his or her life could be destroyed, or they could be killed because of a bad officer. I’m a 100% back the blue as well and we absolutely need all the good ones we can get, but a police officer isn’t the right job for some people. Too many officers have gotten away with way too much without being punished. The power just goes to some of their heads sometimes and they think they’re above the law. Thankfully there’s way more good ones.I agree 100% but why is this any different when say, Will Wade pulls his questionable antics only to go elsewhere?
Bad cops doing this is no different than a teacher doing something stupid and going to another state to start over.
Just saying,
I was in the 82nd Airborne at Bragg. Special Forces, Delta Force, Cyops all there. People who wanted to kill legally gravitated to these special areas. If the mission didn’t provide it, there was always 1-2 serial killers getting arrested around Bragg. Scary place to live with a your family .Without getting in too deep to my opinion of modern policing, I have wondered for a quite some time whether the profession ATTRACTS aggressive, angry people who crave power and control or does the profession CREATE aggressive, angry people who crave power and control after getting a taste of said power and control.
The corruption is alarming and all those “good cops” who keep quiet/uphold the thin blue line of silence are also “bad cops” too. Their silence is complicity.
There’s always been a one-sided give and take with cops and citizens where they can talk to you however the hell they want to, but you’re supposed to be polite and say sir at all times, and if you don’t they’ll start yelling and threatening arrest.
I am an energy matcher. You treat me with respect and speak to me politely, I will do the same and we will have a nice conversation. You come at me disrespectfully, I will match that disrespectful energy no matter what kind of uniform that person is wearing.
Fired for misconduct generally means you are not eligible for unemployment. I am sure the employer avoids a union grievance if it just lets the employee resign.Fired gets unemploymrent. Resignation not.
Upon what are you basing this opinion? Maybe the people who liked the post can also point us to the basis for this “majority” belief. It’s not a small percentage in 2026 and we are trending toward it being a majority.
I think the board by title is for all UK sports, rather than all topics.Because Matt Jones decided to combine everything into one board.
It stems from a certain subset of right-leaning folks who project the same "govern me harder, daddy!" vibes as do many (perhaps most) left-wingers.The simping for armed officers of the state should be studied.

The claim itself does not make me happy. I just want to know the source. There’s no answer I’m going to give you that makes you happy.
Your point was a strawman argument? Because responding to a claim asking for evidence is anything but a strawman. If corruption in law enforcement is not the “real issue,” what is?How about staying away from the strawman and address the real issue. I’ll happily discuss that with you if you’d like.

False. I “attacked” nothing. Asking for facts is not an “attack” except to the liar or the utterly insecureYou attacked one aspect of my argument not the argument itself.
And, because I have frequent interactions with law enforcment, I asked the basis for that assertion. And, your dodge is what is most telling here.My assertion that it’s becoming a majority, which is really irrelevant.
No facts just conclusions and opinion. What is the foundation for your conclusions? Because if you are just making shat up, there is NO real issue. The real argument is; it’s happening, the police union and governing body know it’s happening and instead of addressing it are doing nothing or even worse; defending it. Because of this, the problem has continued to grow and fester. It’s only getting worse and will continue to do so. The current trajectory like so many things in this country is unsustainable.

When you falsely accuse someone of “attacking” because they asked you to support your false premise, I can see how you would also misperceive someone as “angry”. There is no evidence of police corruption to the extent you suggest. So, it appears you have no “real argument.”Bud, you continue to dodge the real argument here. It’s obvious you’re angry about this and I’ve vowed to quit engaging people whom are just angry. Have a a good day.

I wish you a good day, as well.
Then prove what you can. Show me what the issue is with actual stats and not just your opinionated conclusions.Except what you’re arguing is not my premise. It’s an aspect of the argument that’s not provable. Prove that there’s not a huge portion of police that are corrupt. It doesn’t change the actual premise that police corruption is out there, well documented, and theyre police union and governing body refuse to address it. This is leading to more negative police interactions because confidence in competent policing is at an all time low. That is provable and it is factual.

Shilling is your specialty.National police confidence ratings hit an all time high of 64% in 2004. It dropped below 50% for the first time in 2020 with the George Floyd and Brianna Taylor reports and riots. It rose again above 50% in 2024. In 2025, it again dropped below 50%. None of this is proof of an increase in police corruption or anyone turning a blind eye.
Just opinion polls/surveys RunnyNose. Sorry if you don’t like them.Shilling is your specialty.
I would personally say there is a serious problem with police corruption that is widespread and needs massive correction. I think the frequency of police unions backing cops who are obviously in the wrong is a serious problem as well. I think the training they receive is often as much of the problem as just individual officers being bad. As far as the George Floyd and Breanna Taylor events I honestly do not see where the police did anything wrong. While I believe we are desperately in need of some reform I would never suggest we would be better off without them as I see them to be absolutely essential.National police confidence ratings hit an all time high of 64% in 2004. You have studied police training? This is the main problem. The issue of policing is about power, it’s not about politics. But people have made it that way. I am no fan of policing in America, at the same time many of those politicized incidences were bad examples of the abuse of power, I agree.I would personally say there is a serious problem with police corruption that is widespread and needs massive correction. I have seen countless videos of corrupt practices. It would take days to go through it all. Just one example would be Tennessee troopers having a quota for DUI arrests and it has been admitted and proven that they regularly arrest people that are guilty of nothing. You have studied police training? What are they training that should have us concerned?
The anti police social media presence has certainly increased. The evidence of police widespread corruption has not.
Just bow out with a baseless insult when you realize you went too far out on the limb.Enjoy the nut thread. Good night.
West Virginia is probably the worst state there is when it comes to corrupt policing. it’s an absolute abomination. And it’s rampant.Just bow out with a baseless insult when you realize you went too far out on the limb.
Lookup police corruption in Milton,WV for some more egregious examples.
Eastern Kentucky is whack, too.West Virginia is probably the worst state there is when it comes to corrupt policing. it’s an absolute abomination. And it’s rampant.
This is getting worse too, btw. I have never seen more police officers not understand warrant procedure - the 4th amendment, the 1st amendment, etc. Many times they just say “did you get that off tick toc” when you assert your rights.
