Rutgers doesn’t win enough because most of you don’t donate enough

Now you’re playing semantics. Rutgers officially calls them contributions to the R Fund, which most people would call donations. You’re free to call them whatever you want.

Not playing anything. And you have already admitted to “only” having a single ticket. And to “donating” the minimum to maintain your “premium” parking, $2500. So by the metric you posted above you don’t even qualify for what you say is the minimum people need to pony up to be successful $15k. But you also said you fall into the $100k category. Man you are really something else. Leading from the front hey Al.

He had all the resources at OSU fired and not even considered for HC job!

Had all the resources in Tampa Bay fired and chased out of the NFL before one season.

HAF all the resources at Tennessee but fired before he started . (Bad guy caught up to him)

Problem is not the fans!

It’s been the University Board, President, and AD’s not doing there jobs. Poor hires and lack of support!

Greggy might be one of the worst x and o coach ever and definitely is the Worse coming out of a half. It’s comical
Complete nonsense. His best talent graduated and went to the NFL. His new talent had to get acclimated.

He never got a legit quarterback when at Tampa Bay, and overestimated the talent level, which is why they spent a ton on free agency talent, the most important of which was a lineman who never played due to a MRSA infection. They canned him after 2 seasons, hardly enough.

OSU’s head coach wasn’t going to hire his potential competition to be his DC. Up until Day won a NC, OSU fans wanted him canned.

The fans have not provided enough support to sustain a winning program. This is why we :

- don’t have enough NIL
- don’t have competitive facilities
- mediocre stadium environment

can’t blame recruits for opting to go elsewhere. Oregon made us look like amateur hour because their $40M roster smoked out $20M roster. Recruits left early that game. Money talks, BS walks.

The title of the thread is wrong.
"Rutgers doesn't win enough because most of YOU don't donate enough"

That implies the author DOES donate enough.

@rutgersal_rivals139582 - what is "enough"?
$20k?
$50k?
$100k?
Since you are already donating "enough" - where does everyone else need to come up to?

Or should the title be "WE don't donate enough"?

What I donate and how many tickets I buy is no one’s business.

I want to fix our competitiveness problem. We can do that if enough people are interested. It needs to be a collaborative effort. No solos here.

Sorry, bud, but when you post and post and post here about people donating more you kinda leave yourself open to others questioning your own level of financial commitment.

Well then stop airing it out on a public forum. And demanding others to do what you have already said you don’t. Kind of hard to put the toothpaste back in the tube buddy.

Don’t tell me what to post. I do what most everyone else does, which is good enough.

im willing to do more, which is the point.

Bottomline is We either want to compete or we don’t want to compete. That’s the point. I gotta be honest. Sounds like people want to make excuses rather than compete. So just admit that competing isn’t important enough to you, so we can all move on.

Cheapskate Al’s man crush on Schiano is rather disturbing. He can not comprehend how Tennessee came to their senses and made the correct decision in not hiring a subpar HC in Schiano. Yes Tennessee did get 2 of the Top 30 NJ Recruits this season. Hell even Temple got 2 of the Top 30 NJ Recruits. Schiano got Zero. He has lost his stain.

Citing how many NJ recruits Greg got from a weak class and mentioning Temple isn't the flex you think it is.

The top in state recruits are looking for large bags, there's only much RU can offer. Once those guys are gone, going after recruits that don't fit the B1G profile is pointless. You'll see a lot more in state activity with the 2028 class which is supposed to be very deep.

Hey guys.
I'm willing to donate $10m a year. I promise.
I just need to see everyone else donate $10m first and then I'll do it.

Cross my fingers, hope to die.

This makes me less willing to donate
It has made college football nothing more than a business and way less enjoyable

It’s always been a business. Did you think it was a coincidence that USC, OSU and many others adapted to the new reality quickly? Some fanbases always treated it that way, ours did not.

I’m the one that brought up that we’re, as in all of us, not doing enough to be competitive. I’m willing to do more. But many are needed to achieve the desired impact.

but it appears people like you are not. So don’t complain when the results are less than desired.

We did not always have, players jumping from one team to another
We did not have to pay players as we do now

College, football has been somewhat ruined by all this
And you want us,to embrace it

It's all a ruse. He claims he got more *ss than he knew what do with, but was on this very board looking for advice on how to get a girlfriend.

He claims he's some big donor, but we dig a little and find out he's donating nothing more than to get one season football ticket and a parking spot. I will confirm again, I've never seen him at one function where I've seen the biggest donors.

He purports himself to be some sort of leader, but in reality, it's all one big fugazi.

Tennessees admin chose Schiano. Only after a huge outcry, which caused the Tennessee AD to be whacked, and vicious character assassination where it was insinuated Schiano had something to do with Sandusky’s pedophilia, did Tennessee choose an alternative. Throw up a Fieldhouse, raise $20M in NIL, and we will get our share of Jerseys best and keep the interlopers out. You need to be able to offer big bags to be in the game, if you want to play seriously. Till date, we have not played seriously, which is why Jerseys best have opted to go elsewhere.

Players have always been getting paid, though under the table, by other teams, which is why they won. Though it wasn’t the free for all it is today. If we want to win, we have to play by the rules that are in place. Otherwise we just accept our lesser, mediocre lot.

You’re not understanding nuance. Rutgers wins enough for me. For our current context, I’m doing enough, and more than most. I’d call donating a substantial amount of money enough.

Rutgers doesn’t win enough for others, and
Many people are unhappy with our current state of affairs. So If we want better results, we all have to do more, myself included. Never posted I was doing enough to get us to the next level, and others were not.

Never claimed I was a big donor. I openly and transparently admitted to what I was doing and not doing. I don’t need to go to a big donor function to care.

ND is cleaning our clock in NJ recruiting, because we don’t offer enough. We are back to the Terry Shea days, where most of the best Jersey players opted to go elsewhere.

In their current recruiting class (2027), the Irish have three players currently committed. Five-star offensive tackle Olu Olubobola, defensive end Aidan O'Neil and the recently committed four-star recruit Jackson Vaughn at defensive end. Olubobola, O'Neil and Vaughn all hail from the same Catholic Private school league as some other impactful Notre Dame alumni.

ND is cleaning our clock in NJ because they are a playoff team with a real coach that wins 10 games every year. How many 10 win seasons has Rutgers had in the last 40 years? People financially support winning. They don't throw money at mediocre coaches and expect to win championships.

How this didn’t enter his line of thinking says it all but he’s only interested in narratives not truthful conversations.
