If we can only get 9 innings out of our Friday, Saturday and Sunday starters it won't matter who we play.
He wouldn't be saving Norby. Towers has been the Friday guy their last 4 conference series plus the AAC tournament.
A few ECU fans have said that Towers has been their Friday night starter for awhile. He might be going up against Tennessee. Not gonna ***** anymore, we’re much better than every team in our regional. Just have to go win it. Norby and Kuhns will both be burnt game 1.
That seems frankly ridiculous. How is that possibleJust posted it in the pinned thread but I'll add it here as well.
Based on DSR, we got the fourth-highest 2 (Tennessee is #17), third-highest 3 (ECU is #32), and fourth-highest 4 of any host in the field.
If you limit it to top-8, we got the highest 2, the highest 3, and highest 4 of any top-8 seed in the field along with the potential highest-ranked Supers match-up (A&M is #7).
Our path is quantitatively harder than any top-8 seed. By a lot.

Time to join the SEC lolSince we are #5, we should have gotten #28 for our 2-seed, instead we got a Top 25 TN team. ECU should be the 2 seed at UCLA.
The scumbags running college baseball help the SEC and west coast schools every damn year. Time for investigations given the SEC makes TV money with their baseball on espn.
That's correct. Norby was pitching the Saturday game by the last several series of the season.I think Cliff throws Tower in game 1 and saves Norby.
Evan Blanco, pitched for UVA. They may throw him Friday vs ECU as they moved him up for SEC Tournament and didnt end up throwing Kuhns. Blanco has been good sans the first inning recently.
A lot of talk about not having enough arms but Tenn has maybe 6, and that includes Landon Mack who hasnt pitched in weeks. Tenn is the type of team that has to go 3-0 to win the regional and is probably better suited to win a Super, so should you lose to them on Saturday, its not the end of the world bc they will run out of arms. They have started to hit it better over the last month but they arent the offenses from 22-24.
Yeah…when they mess up seeding like this it’s bad for everybodyAccurate ^^.
Hello heels. Mack is very questionable and likely out. We don’t have a game three starter ATM.
We both got screwed here. We should be at USM or Lawerence. And whoever wins has to out slug the Aggies.
Bats are hot but means nothing on Friday. Last I looked our BA was a good bit higher vs lefty arms. Our pictures have given up a lot of long balls. Not sure the dimensions of your park.
I hope for exciting games and that we don’t go 0-2.

7-8 on the road
Said this yesterday, the 2 seed is always going to be a good team unless you get a really good draw. What matter most is the 3 seed being good enough and having a real #1 to force #2 to throw their #1. Also said, that having a fairly bad #4 was key.. we didn’t get lucky there. One thing I'll add is that I think it's somewhat good for the host for the 3 seed to be a good team. It usually forces the 2 seed to throw their best in game 1.
Our ballpark will hold a lot of the fly balls that get over the wall in Knoxville. The more research I do, I prefer having Tennessee as the 2 over Coastal (even if Coastal has been playing poor). Low OBP, high power offense compared to Coastal who is a lot of contact, working counts and making you execute for 9 innings. High-end pitching but not a ton of depth.
Some of these Answers are incoherent. It’s all so clearly post hoc justification for protecting SEC interests. “We rewarded Kansas who had a great season” with a 15 seed and Arkansas as their 2.

WeBurke and Peterson both said we got the toughest draw
Burke is already talking about Texas A & M hosting a super regional
You'd rather face Tennessee than Coastal? I think Tennessee is more talented.
It was planned that way too.Just posted it in the pinned thread but I'll add it here as well.

Huh? You don't think UC-Santa Barbara, Tarleton State, and Holy Cross are tougher than Tennessee, ECU, and VCU? The #5 seed faces a ranked P4 team and the #6 seed doesn't. I'm shocked. This is a joke of a regional. Especially looking at Texas @ 6
We pitched Duff against them in a midweek and he got roughed up. It was early tho. But still…A top-5 seed getting VCU as a 4 is ridiculous. Can’t really hold pitchers against them.
Midweek. And they roughed up McDuffie. They’ll have their best on the mound, not midweek starter. It will be a tough game. And it shouldn’t be…We run ruled them earlier this year if I remember correctly!
No chance… if it’s not started already, I’ll take care of it, lol. It’s not postseason without that thread. Plus this year, I think has more room for argument than most others…can we agree as a board to not have the annual “pitch or save the ace in game 1” debate?
UCSB has the arms to compete with anyone.Huh? You don't think UC-Santa Barbara, Tarelton State, and Holy Cross are tougher than Tennessee, ECU, and VCU? The #5 seed faces a ranked P4 team and the #6 seed doesn't. I'm shocked.
