I’m not sure what you mean here but I would take George Harrison over Freddie and the DreamersIt's like the Beatles without Paul or John.

Kevin Durant averaged 11 rebounds per game in college and for his NBA career averaged 7. That’s a horrible comparison.Yeah, I wouldn’t want Kevin Durant either because he’s not a good rebounder.

Huge difference in fans not agreeing with the best approach, and (not) fans wanting us to lose games!!They aren't real UK fans if they are rooting for the team to have a poor season clueless
Milan wouldn’t even average 3 rebounds in the nba.Kevin Durant averaged 5 rebounds a game this year in a 48 minute game. It’s exactly the comparison. Kevin Durant is a scorer and nothing else.

Yes there are a lot on this board who have actively wanted us to lose games (to force a coaching change). I agree those are not real fans.
My question of is Momcilovic the best option for us or not, is focused on us having a the best most well rounded team we can have. Again, I’m not saying don’t add him. Just a part of me, maybe 10% maybe 30% of me thinks maybe we would be a better team playing guys who shoot it well (just not as well) but aren’t big liabilities in every other aspect.
You stain this site every time you post from this sock account you worthless troll. The two people that laugh reacted to your post says enough. Core group of schizophrenic losersYou have Pikachu and Togepi taking a bath together as your avatar. You don’t get to question people’s usernames.

Pathetic product of incestual mating
And 6.9 careerDurant averaged 11 per game in college.
A more apt comparison might be Kyle Wiltjer, though Momcilovic isn't quite that lead footed.
What people consistently fail to grasp about the NBA, for a variety of reasons, is that the NBA is looking for ..."and shoot", with a lot of that ... being "play defense in the NBA". But regardless, it's "bring some other form of value and not be a complete non-shooter". It's why NBA teams will often draft the uber-athletic 19 year old freshman who averaged 8 ppg over the 23 year old senior who averaged 20 but lacks some athletic ability. That 19 year has the tools to play defense in the NBA and his shooting and offensive skills can be worked on. The 23 year old will end up being a non-stop target for opposing teams' offenses every time he's in the game.Good thing I didn't also pose my Question #2 (Would you rather (if could only have 1) return Moreno, or add Momcilovic?), some on here may have had their heads explode.
Is Mom... the better scorer, no doubt. Is Mom the better player, maybe. However I think it could be Moreno just because I think there is a better chance one or the other of Kam or Hawthorne (even Noah could contribute some) can be ok at the 3, than big-Franck or Potter at the 5.
Lastly, some have stated how Momcilovic would be such a great pickup, and I don't doubt he would be a good one; and many on here just a few months ago were saying how we will be in trouble if we start Moreno at the 5 next year, that we need him backing up a better C. But apparently the NBA (which emphasizes & values 3pt shooting even more than college does) even places Moreno ahead of Momcilovic in most projected draft boards. I wasn't one of those downgrading Moreno, I've been saying since Christmas I think he may be 2nd-team all-SEC next year.
How do you know Hawthorne won't be a star? have you seen him play now that he has had a year of practice at the college level? If we are relying on Hawthorne to be a starter, the season is off the rails before it starts.
Yep. I'm sure Illinois was not expecting the season Wagler had.How do you know Hawthorne won't be a star? have you seen him play now that he has had a year of practice at the college level?
So the real question isn’t “Is he a fit?”Is anyone else "on the fence" about adding Momcilovic?
I mean, I have been one of the biggest proponents of adding a good (40%+) 3pt shooter. And he certainly fits that. Although I was wanting that at the 2G. I would kind-of like to see how Kam and Hawthorne work out at the 3.
My concerns with Momcilovic is that he offers nothing other than 3pt shooting. His rebounding is very bad for a forward (3.1, 3.3, 3.1 all 3 years at Iowa St, playing 27.5-30.5mpg), 3.0 per30min this past year. He is not known as a good defender either.
Kam's rebounding wasn't much better last year (2.1/gm, 3.4 per30min). But he is a good (+) defender.
Hawthorne we know almost nothing about, but he looks athletic, and is supposedly a good shooter, and we hope can put the ball on the floor and attack the rim some (maybe a slightly lessor version of Ament).
I’m very familiar with this phenomena. Our best player is the one on the bench that hasn’t played. How do you know Hawthorne won't be a star? have you seen him play now that he has had a year of practice at the college level?
I mean he’s def talented but he was also like 6’8-6’9 and weighed 160 so he didn’t have the frame needed to play one single game in the SECI’m very familiar with this phenomena. Our best player is the one on the bench that hasn’t played.
I’m a Kentucky fan, I hope Hawthorne wins the MVP next season. But, I also realize that if he was a talented player, we would have seen him last season.
I still believe that if Kentucky has to rely on Hawthorne for significant minutes, we are screwed.I mean he’s def talented but he was also like 6’8-6’9 and weighed 160 so he didn’t have the frame needed to play one single game in the SEC
No...that's not how I'm reading this at allThe OP is just “kicking the can” to get a head start on the inevitable…
He knows, even though he won’t admit it, that Pope has ZERO chance to get Momcilovic away from UofL or St. John’s, so he’s floating this “trial balloon” of an excuse to soften the blow for when the time comes…
And by doing so, shamelessly making a complete fool out of himself![]()
I don't think he didn't play last year due to a lack of talent. But rather he was simply too weak and thin. Adding muscle is the easiest thing for a player to do. Is he going to look like Patterson next year? No!!! But he may (by next fall) have added enough muscle to not get pushed around like a rag-doll so that he can utilize the skills he has.I’m very familiar with this phenomena. Our best player is the one on the bench that hasn’t played.

I believe it's May 27th, before the clock strikes midnight. When do players have to pull out of the NBA draft and return to college it's slipped my mind?
