To the duke fan, that post here instead of duke boards because duke sucks. When you have more than one option they can’t just zoom on him. When you can have Milan, McBride, Morton, Williams times two, potter and Hawthorne who can shoot threes you can kick it out to one of those options.
Yall guys spent money on a freshmen class that might not be on par with last years and could have mixed results. Three generational talents Flagg, Boozer, and Williamson and no championship. Duke has done less than John Calipari with talent.
As much as I want Duke to lose every game they play for the rest of eternity, the NCAA tournament's single elimination format makes luck more of a factor than other playoff formats (like NCAA baseball or NBA playoffs). You can only hope to put yourself in position and then it's up to luck - bracket layout, matchups. Wisconsin was the only team we didn't want to see in 2025 and if they had been on the opposite side I think we win that one. Unfortunately for us, bad luck in the draw. I hate it but Duke is consistently putting a team that contends on the floor every year. I hope like hell they keep having bad nights and the worst draws imaginable, but they're putting teams together that can win it all every year. (I just barfed a little in my mouth typing that 🤮)

Even worse than dealing with NIL nonsense now, the most annoying part of this stuff is how long it takes to get these kids signed. We’re almost to June. Rosters for next year should be done. There needs to be strict deadlines that both the ncaa and nba agree to. Having the nba seasons last from November to June is dumb. Just delays the draft longer.

Is anyone else "on the fence" about adding Momcilovic?

I mean, I have been one of the biggest proponents of adding a good (40%+) 3pt shooter. And he certainly fits that. Although I was wanting that at the 2G. I would kind-of like to see how Kam and Hawthorne work out at the 3.
My concerns with Momcilovic is that he offers nothing other than 3pt shooting. His rebounding is very bad for a forward (3.1, 3.3, 3.1 all 3 years at Iowa St, playing 27.5-30.5mpg), 3.0 per30min this past year. He is not known as a good defender either.
Kam's rebounding wasn't much better last year (2.1/gm, 3.4 per30min). But he is a good (+) defender.
Hawthorne we know almost nothing about, but he looks athletic, and is supposedly a good shooter, and we hope can put the ball on the floor and attack the rim some (maybe a slightly lessor version of Ament).
Respect the post but remember Milan had no issues guarding us but we couldn’t stop him. Milan outscored all of our forwards combined

Nearly 70 TS% from a perimeter player can more than compensate for other weaknesses.
Yes that is above elite true scoring
