Newsom is not wrong (about this) but he is also damaged goods and would be an awful choice for dem nominee.

In this case, "kneepads" is correct. No elected officials should be able to trade while in office. And I'll go one step further. People in the government contacting world - those in the know about the award of government contracts - should also be banned.
