Thats fine and all, but the fact he barely got to 6 wins two years ago and got by with 7 wins this past year while repeating records should tell you that Rhule has reached his capacity for success. What may have worked during his times at Temple and Baylor now no longer does. The podcast and stuff was fine until the on-field success regressed horrifically.Yes, our program has cratered since the extension and the USC game. I still think the baseline was set at Scoot Frost and Mike Reilly levels of success, lest the media and nation think we deserve more than six wins a year. It was hard to create momentum against Rhule when Scott could barely win 3 a year. This is why we see graphics like "first bowl game in 10 years", back to back bowls for the first time in 10 years. Some people know it is b.s but it is hard to fire a guy that has done something that the previous two coaches couldn't do.
Its hard because our incompetent Regent board and Dannen make it so with the extension. Its gonna be even harder with this Chuck-E-Cheese mascot we have as a HC because all he wants to do is sell and not produce.
