Some people spend all their time on message boards and making recruiting music videos so they don't have the type of career that would enable them to donate very much. They're also obsessed with a below mediocre head coach and rationalize away his awful performances. Get lawst.

Say whatever you want. Doesn’t bother me. Someday you’ll be on my level. Too bad it’s not today.
If I’m on your level I’ve lost everything.

You don’t donate anything. You purchase a ticket package and buy a parking pass. It’s not even a write off lol. Best part is you are so unintelligent you outed yourself. And I walked you right into it. Ouch!

There was no reason for me to follow them. We weren’t playing them, and we just smoked them the previous year. So they just weren’t on my radar. The only thing I really followed about them was that they changed coaches.

Wait.

So now you are saying you had no idea if Indiana and their $86m infrastructure and $10m NIL spending actually made them more talented?

You've spent a whole thread yelling that they spent all this money to pull past us in 2024.
That it wasn't a head coaching change.

And now you are admitting that the entire premise of your ranting is fake?

Again, In order to buy my parking pass and tickets you have to donate. But you wouldn’t know that since you don’t have either. This is something I’ve repeated throughout the thread, but comprehension clearly isn’t your strength.

I don’t even know why you’re on this board. You don’t like football. You don’t like Schiano. Your biggest concern is that football will take resources from lacrosse.

You’re reduced to trolling my thread. Pathetic.

You’re the one who pulled up my post from 2024, so I’m just explaining the context behind it.

Today, we know why Indiana was successful and hope to replicate that success, which is the premise behind this thread.

the reason the coach is mediocre is that the fanbase hasn’t invested in footballs success.
Our capital infrastructure is lacking. That’s why our recruiting is below par.

We can rectify this or we won’t. That is the bottom line.

And even if you change the coach, you won’t change the results. 100+ years of history backs me up.

Dude, you're talking about a required donation that comes as part of the season ticket package while he's talking about making donations well beyond that.

With every response you're spiraling further into the abyss, the best damage control is to cut your losses and move on instead of these useless, empty responses.

Stop trying to gaslight us. I didn’t walk into anything.

Let me assist you with your comprehension issues.
In the very first post I called our record mediocre.

“This is the caliber of talent you need to compete in the big time. We don’t have this caliber of talent, so we do the best we can with what we have. This is the biggest reason we have been mediocre, and will continue to be.”

Achieving Mediocrity because we have no money is the theme of this thread.

The coaches record is mediocre. Unlike you, I’m not afraid to accept the obvious, even when it doesn’t favor my position. If People want to be more than mediocre, they have to pony up. That’s the whole point of this thread.

What if I told you the only way to get a fresh influx of cash into the program is to win with what Rutgers has. All it would take is a good Rutgers team in the big ten and NYC area media coverage will do the rest. Rutgers is still living off of that Louisville win. Imagine what a trip to the college football playoff would do. I'm pretty sure the new AD recognizes this. Either win to get the ball rolling or bring in a new coach with new energy that can inspire people to invest in the program.

Personally I would wait and see what schiano does this year, that and how he recruits the 2028 NJ class, so at the most two years.. I recognized when the talent was subpar and now I can recognize that the talent is sufficient to win some of these Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin games. At least put a scare into a Ohio State.

What are you expecting to win with what Rutgers has? At best, we’re trying to replicate last season except the part where we just missed 6 wins. Hopefully we get at least 6. But it’s going to be challenging, because we have a lot of new kids in key positions. The defense is learning a new system. The defensive coaches are coaching on this level for the first time. we might be breaking in a new quarterback. We have one big ten lineman in Kobe Asamoah. The jury is out on everyone else. We have lots of question marks. Very few answers. Our seasonal success will likely depend on how much our redshirts and newcomers can contribute, especially on the lines, which is the biggest concern.

This is where you miss the point.

You consider the ONLY way to improve even a fraction is through more money.
You refuse to even consider the possibility of doing it (even over 1 season) without more money.

What if I said - Rutgers would never get more money without winning first. Just 1 season of 10 wins.
Without that, money never comes in like its needed.
You would say Rutgers has 0% chance of ever having 10 wins?

Because you think Schiano is the best coach Rutgers could ever have, you are limited in your assessment.
For you, there will never be a better coach than Schiano at Rutgers.
A coach who maybe could get Rutgers to a 1 year breakthrough that would then lead to more money.

So because you refuse to even consider the possibility of better coaching, you are left with "it must be money".

The reality is that "better coaching" is infinitely more likely than more money.

You say "no other coach had won in 150 years". Well no money has come in despite your near monthly threads.

Did you watch the games last year? Offensive line was solid all year. Besides Asomoah, Chin and Needham looked good when they were on the field as well. Skill players are at a level that even with all the money in the world, you'd be happy with these skill guys..We shall see at QB, defense looks like it will have a all new front 7 besides Angoy. It really depends on the front 7. Which is why I said give him 2 years, if he can't get the front 7 together by then and defense is his calling card, it's time to go in a new direction. Especially if he can't get a significant number of recruits from nj 28 class..

A lot more NIL money came in, this year vs last year, thanks to better awareness, but we are not where we need to be.

This is Rutgers, not fantasyland. Tell me how Rutgers should overcome the significant NIL advantages that other programs have, to build better lines. Illinois for example, buried our defensive line in the turf because our DEs could not contain. Oregon and Ohio State did the same.
Last year we got roughly 11 sacks while giving up close to 40. Look at our transfer portal class. Look at our high school recruiting class. Where do you see the help that is going to help us improve upon those numbers? Maybe we do see fractional improvement. Are we supposed to be happy with that. People in these parts aren’t satisfied with fractional improvement. They want significant improvement. And the biggest issue is that we can’t wait for kids to develop because they’ll leave via the portal. That’s why it is going to be very difficult for us to build depth. Our best corner went to Texas and was replaced by lower level kids. There is going to be a drop off. We are going to have to go through this every year, as “better programs” will poach some of our players. Without adequate funds we are going to be at a huge disadvantage, because every year is going to be some semblance of a rebuild

I watched the offensive line give up close to 40 SACKS. So We have different definitions of what constitutes solid. I saw the defense get roughly 11 sacks. This is literally why we have new line coaches.

How should we solve this for this year?
What are your ideas to improve the pass rush, and do a better job of protecting the passer.

Yeah, it had nothing to do with Athan holding the ball too long and needing to use the 3rd and 4th string LTs due to injuries. It was all because they sucked like you said.

Like others have said, chin and Needham got hurt but even still managed to produce a 1500 yard rusher and one of the top passing offenses in the big ten..and there is a completely new defensive line this year. Plenty of prospects to be COACHED up on the oline and dline as well like wydeek collier, braxton Kyle, rj Johnson....no excuses if schiano can't break through in the next two years, give someone else a shot..
In regards to this coming season, the minimum should be 7 wins, 8 would be a good start.. 9 and you won't have to beg for money on the message board anymore..
Also I'm counting these games as losses but Indiana has plenty of questions marks when it comes to their roster and new comers. Same as Penn State, USC and Michigan..every team has turned over rosters, coaches etc.

We are not likely to break through this year. I would sign up for 6-6 right now. Year two anything can happen if we get enough NIL support. We accomplished all the offensive production in spite of a poor line. That’s why we have a new line coach.

Injuries aren’t an excuse for why we haven’t recruited any good linemen, on both sides of the ball, aside from Asamoah, in the last five years.
Where are the Jeremy Zuttahs and Anthony Davis’ we used to be able to recruit? Not at Rutgers. They took the bag and went elsewhere.

You have no clue what went on behind the scenes. You just like to spew stuff hoping something sticks, no different from your million failed upset alerts.

I know we gave up close to 40 sacks, and we are having trouble recruiting good linemen.
I know the coach was fired and that you don’t know wtf you’re talking about. There’s nothing else for me to know.
