This is truly one of those both sides issues.
True, but the Dems insider trade with the best of ‘em.Yet, only MAGA is standing up there with Johnson
True, but the Dems insider trade with the best of ‘em.
Meanwhile Trump and kids are out trading stocks left and right while Trump’s publicly pumping them up.
I would bet that it never happens. The people who are in a position to do the reckoning are the same ones that would stand to lose from a change in the rules. The gravy train works as well as it does because all of them are on there together. You get elected to get a seat on the train, and then you do everything you can to keep that seat for as long as possible (until even after you're physically/mentally unable to do your job any longer).Between the insider trading, money being speech, corporations being people, the quid pro quo of dark money bribes, SCOTUS self policing their corruption, oligarchs formerly paying for a ballroom on the White House grounds, oligarchs packing out the inauguration, oligarchs joining Trump to meet Xi, and many such other examples makes me think there will have to be a reckoning in the near future.

How's the meltdown going? If you have ever lived in DC you would know $174,000 is a starvation budget for a family of 5 trying to live middle class
THAT MAKES ME SMART!!President Donald Trump scooped up shares of artificial intelligence software maker Palantir weeks before he famously lauded the stock, with its ticker symbol, on his social media platform Truth Social, according to records released this week by the U.S. Office of Government Ethics.
The records show thousands of transactions during the first quarter totaling hundreds of millions of dollars, with each trade listed as a price range.

Trump touted Palantir on Truth Social after buying the company's stock, records show
During the first three months of the year, Trump purchased between $630,000 and $247,008 worth of Palantir stock and sold at least $1.1 million.www.cnbc.com
So pay them 500k & ban stock trading. If you have ever lived in DC you would know $174,000 is a starvation budget for a family of 5 trying to live middle class

Put them in dorms. These people are supposed to serve the people not enrich themselves and only serve the oligarchs.
Sure Jan. Who runs the budget in that house, an idiot? If you have ever lived in DC you would know $174,000 is a starvation budget for a family of 5 trying to live middle class

well, each and every one of them actually campaigns for this job. No one forces them to take it.If you have ever lived in DC you would know $174,000 is a starvation budget for a family of 5 trying to live middle class
Like those pesky socialist programs no one forces you to take, right Ned?well, each and every one of them actually campaigns for this job. No one forces them to take it.
well, not exactly like that because the government forces people like me to participate in social security and Medicare....no one forces anyone to run for a $174,000 job. See the difference?Like those pesky socialist programs no one forces you to take, right Ned?
You can absolutely decline Social Security benefits Ned. And remember, no one wants socialism!well, not exactly like that because the government forces people like me to participate in social security and Medicare....no one forces anyone to run for a $174,000 job. See the difference?
You can try to make me feel upset about taking funds from programs I'm forced to participate in, but I'm a
"stay within the lanes" kind of person. I don't have any problems with people in need participating in the "socialist" programs, and I've never denied or taken positions that we don't have such programs already in our government. So I don't know where you're trying to take me relative to "socialist" programs, but knock yourself out.
I really don't get this socialism hate. The military is 100% socialism. Same with the constant bailouts of farmers. And Republicans love both of those. Why is that form socialism something to be celebrated but feeding kids something to be disdained?well, not exactly like that because the government forces people like me to participate in social security and Medicare....no one forces anyone to run for a $174,000 job. I guess that's an accurate statement, but why would I decline something I paid for? Does that make any sense to you? Isn't socialism a concept of equality for all? I gave in, paid for others now you are supposed to pay for me..You can absolutely decline Social Security benefits Ned. And remember, no one wants socialism!
He’s poking because of the propaganda on the right keeps using socialist as a slur against anything on the left, without acknowledging that many, many things that are part of our government and daily life are in some part “socialist”. And while you may not disagree with those things, and while there may be a small minority on the left that are true full socialist, using the socialist or communist brush to paint the entire Democratic Party is foolish and straight propaganda.well, not exactly like that because the government forces people like me to participate in social security and Medicare....no one forces anyone to run for a $174,000 job. Oh I get his points..by the way I agree with your first paragraph and I fully expect to see videos of that DSA co chair all over Republican ads this fall. But, as I posted, in my opinion, democrats are bringing this on themselves, The DSA is a separate party, they had their own convention, have their own platform - which is not the Democrat platform - and yet are running as democrats. If Dems don't want to be associated with that platform they should force the DSA candidates to run that way and nominate their separate Democrat candidates. They won't do that though because it's likely that without the DSA candidates running as democrats, republicans would likely keep the house. it's all about power...and republicans would do the same thing if situations were reversed. He’s poking because of the propaganda on the right keeps using socialist as a slur against anything on the left, without acknowledging that many, many things that are part of our government and daily life are in some part “socialist”. So while your individual beliefs don’t agree with that characterization, your words often do. They are trying to drag that out of you. Possibly going overboard or using borderline bullying, but it can be frustrating seeing propaganda being accepted so I get it too.

I have already acknowledged the presence of socialist type programs in the US. And, I fully believe in the need for them.
These days if it weren't for propaganda there would be little for us to discuss. I don't know why the OP didn't just come out and make the point you did. I would have agreed with him, probably.
I don't think you do get my points. Roads, water, electricity. You use all these everyday. None if these would be possible about socialism. All of you Conservative bums do. And you love it.Oh I get his points..by the way I agree with your first paragraph and I fully expect to see videos of that DSA co chair all over Republican ads this fall. Their families shouldn't be living there. These people are supposed to live where they serve. If you have ever lived in DC you would know $174,000 is a starvation budget for a family of 5 trying to live middle class
Citizens united certainly put all this on steroids.Between this, age limits and the blatant corruption of current administration….I have never been more convinced our system is completely and totally broken.
Socialism attempts to provide basic needs for all citizens and reducing large gaps between the rich and poor. No one wants that, right?I guess that's an accurate statement, but why would I decline something I paid for? Does that make any sense to you? Isn't socialism a concept of equality for all? I gave in, paid for others now you are supposed to pay for me..
So I take it from you chain of questioning that you're all in on socialism. Or are you struggling to make some other point?
Roads, water, electricity. You use all these everyday. None if these would be possible without socialism.
