Look at HWT I think he's top 6. He beat Coby Merrill at an open this yearZiola will likely be a drop off from AJ his first year at 285 but definitely a high ceiling prospect. Also I think the team was just beyond done with AJ in general.

Berge was terrible last year, Conway graduated. Soldano graduated. Ludington is at 197. Stewart is no where near ready. he finished like #12 in hs this year. he wont even start.1. Maxx
2. Rocco
3. Sinclair
4. Ferrari
5. Mantanona
6. BBerge
7. Fishback
8.(Nitenbach, Conway, Rogers, Soldano, Aaron Stewart, Harvey Ludington, Cochran)
yeah... even if you say spots 6-8 are open... there are some really good wrestlers in this weight class that he would need to beat out!
The distinction is important because they weren’t going to kick out one senior and bring in another one to potentially wrestle that weightLOL... tomato / tomAto
They no longer have AJ and agreed on Ziola... i forgot about him
Nebreska has a couple of really good freshmen (RS and otherwise)
I think AJ would have won heavyweight this year, if he was staying there. Is he actually going to wrestle actually?Look at HWT I think he's top 6. He beat Coby Merrill at an open this year
It doesnt change the point... tough weight classBerge was terrible last year, Conway graduated. Soldano graduated. Ludington is at 197. Stewart is no where near ready. he finished like #12 in hs this year. he wont even start.
Lorenzo Norman to Okie State:
174 and yes with Facundo and Lockett battling for 165What weight is he going and is he expected to start there?
Why wouldn't Facundo compete against Norman at 174? Norman is good, but doesn't seem like a foregone conclusion that he would beat out Facundo at 174. Plus, Facundo appears best suited at 174, where he wrestled in 2025-26.174 and yes with Facundo and Lockett battling for 165
Because Corby said soWhy wouldn't Facundo compete against Norman at 174? Norman is good, but doesn't seem like a foregone conclusion that he would beat out Facundo at 174. Plus, Facundo appears best suited at 174, where he wrestled in 2025-26.
Sounds like he feels he was small for 174 and went 174 so the team would be better and now wants to be his more natural weightWhy wouldn't Facundo compete against Norman at 174? Norman is good, but doesn't seem like a foregone conclusion that he would beat out Facundo at 174. Plus, Facundo appears best suited at 174, where he wrestled in 2025-26.
Oh no what's cael ever gonna do now that Norman picked okst over psu. The sky is falling!174 and yes with Facundo and Lockett battling for 165
It wasn't a need obviously but keeping guys away from Oklahoma St isn't a bad thing. I have said Penn st isn't losing anytime soon so go chuck woodOh no what's cael ever gonna do now that Norman picked okst over psu. The sky is falling!
Leverage?Norman to PSU made no sense, not sure how they were ever on his short list.
Me to wife: “If you keep reminding me to clean the grill, you’re going to drive me right into Halle Berry‘s arms.”Leverage?
AJ should be paying his own tuition and expenses- not sure why he thinks he has any market value. I guess we will (maybe) find out.AJ Ferrari supposedly has no interested suitors as he’s asking for 500K.
I have no idea on economics but can’t see him being worth much to any school other than using the scholarship.
if Melvin pulls a Jax and VA Tech got AJ maybe that could be interesting though
I think the 500K is just a few dozen extra woodscrews in the coffin. Nobody wants to have to deal with his "ME" bullcrap.AJ Ferrari supposedly has no interested suitors as he’s asking for 500K.

Dollars or emojis?AJ Ferrari supposedly has no interested suitors as he’s asking for 500K.
He’s delusional. Nobody is going to pay him and then babysit a 23 year old man.I think the 500K is just a few dozen extra woodscrews in the coffin. Nobody wants to have to deal with his "ME" bullcrap.
Maybe he’s worth something to a team like Missouri instead of taking a guy like Luke Geog. But just the scholarship…AJ should be paying his own tuition and expenses- not sure why he thinks he has any market value. I guess we will (maybe) find out.
I am not surprised he thinks he is worth more than others do.Maybe he’s worth something to a team like Missouri instead of taking a guy like Luke Geog. But just the scholarship…
He could have told Nebraska he just wanted to wrestle, and he didn't need any NIL funding nor any scholarship money he would pay his own way. He just wanted to wrestle "PLEASE" and the answer would have still been "NO!"He’s delusional. Nobody is going to pay him and then babysit a 23 year old man.
If anyone decent gave him anything at all he should take it and run. Nebraska probably gave him a decent wage. But he didn’t win the NCAA, did the split when his team lost and forfeited after losing when his team was fighting for a trophy
That’s true, although he was relatively behaved they wanted him out to wrestle both McDaniel and Ziola next yearHe could have told Nebraska he just wanted to wrestle, and he didn't need any NIL funding nor any scholarship money he would pay his own way. He just wanted to wrestle "PLEASE" and the answer would have still been "NO!"
If he had any team leadership skills they would have kept him. It is his "ME ME ME" routine that put Manning off, put Snyder off, put his teammates off. There is an appreciation of McDaniel and Ziola, there isn't any for him. That’s true, although he was relatively behaved they wanted him out to wrestle both McDaniel and Ziola next year

I thought he would've been the favorite, based upon the returning field and his results.Based on what?
As of right now I think my pick to win HWT is CobyI thought he would've been the favorite, based upon the returning field and his results.
Returning:
- 4 Doucet (if he gets a medical) -- Ferrari won 2-1
- 5 Kueter -- Ferrari won 4-1
- 6 Ferrari
- 8 Carroll
- R12 Amos
- R12 Pitzer -- Ferrari won 12-0
- R16 Colbert -- Ferrari won 4-0
- R16 Hopke -- Ferrari won 2-1
- R16 Feldman -- Feldman went 2-1 vs Ferrari: 5-4, 4-1 SV, and 2-1 Ferrari at B10s. Ferrari improved results in each match.
- R16 Mirasola -- Ferrari won 2-1
He has never faced Carroll or Amos, but both are inconsistent. Also returning at HWT but he has never faced: Endene, Voelker, Taylor.
Maybe somebody turns around one of those close results. OTOH with his style, he doesn't make mistakes, you have to break through his defense and beat him ... and there's no offensive machine in that group.
Feldman would be the most likely to break thru that group, and has the best record vs Ferrari, but then there's his injury history.
Yeah he's a beastAs of right now I think my pick to win HWT is Coby
Merrill looks really good.As of right now I think my pick to win HWT is Coby
He wrestled in college opens he beat Stoner Mizzu 20-4 tech and Herrera Iowa St 10-1 and lost to Carroll 2-1 OT and to Ziola 4-2 . He also teched Crew Howard D2 who was 2nd in D2 he was 2nd 3rd 4th in D2 in his careerMerrill looks really good.
He's also significantly less credentialed at freestyle than Kueter, and has yet to compete in college folk.
He was worth something to Bakersfield and he basically told them to pound sand after attempting to help rehab his image.Maybe he’s worth something to a team like Missouri instead of taking a guy like Luke Geog. But just the scholarship…
