Right now they’re pretty irrelevant. Especially in sports other schools are cutting completely.but to say facilities are irrelevant is asinine
Who said that?but to say facilities are irrelevant is asinine
the thread is mostly around a football practice facility, not equestrianRight now they’re pretty irrelevant. Especially in sports other schools are cutting completely.
"Capital improvements can’t score touchdowns" did I miss read your comment?Who said that?
Nowhere within those quotation marks are the words “facilities are irrelevant”."Capital improvements can’t score touchdowns" did I miss read your comment?
Coaching/recruiting/amenities/commitment to do whatever it takes to "win" a recruit... among other things. So why are our recruiting classes consistently in the bottom 1/4 of the SEC?
Then how much was it, exactly? Provide link, or STFU.It’s wasn’t Half it was substantial but wasnt close to 30MM. I know what you’re trying to do as you have every single time we discuss finances. You go for the total negative take and discredit every single good news when it comes to fundraising.
LOL. Again, please provide credible link.Just like when I said we had around 30MM in NIL for last year. you scoffed at it until it was the talking points from others including podcasters .
Because of two reasons:. We had a record last year of 7 and 8 figure donations why can’t our fans see this and have a sense of pride instead of trying to discredit it.
How about you STFU.Then how much was it, exactly? Provide link, or STFU.
And, regardless of however much it was, will he be donating that same amount EVERY year, and putting future donations towards NIL, or is this a one time deal?
LOL. Again, please provide credible link.
We had sonewhere around $30 million TOTAL (maybe less) that was available for football, between NIL and the revenue share.
The revenue share portion is $15 million, and, for the millionth time, that is NOT NIL. Everybody has it. That $15 million is the new version of “85 scholarships” for P4 programs.
The remaining $15 million (at most) that we actually had for NIL is an absolutely pathetic number for an SEC program. And, honestly, that’s totally fine by me, as I do not in any way support this crap. But the reality is we do not have what is needed to compete.
Because of two reasons:
1) Everyone else is getting record donations too….every year….since there’s now a direct path to buying wins.
2) We are not taking said path, nor are we wisely investing what we are receiving, due to a joke of a coaching staff.
So either you don’t know how much the 1-time donation was or you don’t want to admit how much it was. We do know that it was enough to get his name on the facility. So at least half of the $60 million is a pretty good bet.How about you STFU.
You are one of the worst fans in here. All you do is write some lengthy BS jargon that you think is smart and makes you look intelligent but it doesn’t it just shows your ignorance. By your “logic” yes we had around 15MM in REV share and added to that from donations and like to get to over 30MM…. that’s still a substantial amount of money and gets us in a very very competitive position. You know what JA!! This also means that Ohio state lsu and whomever else that are at 40MM has the exact same 15MM but added another 20-25MM in NIL. No one including me has ever said we are the same position as Ohio state Michigan or others. But 30MM for NIL, a top half of the league in donations and funding for facilities puts a lot of your logic and others out of business. God forbid we do something positive with athletics, no posters like you live to just 17n be negative. What moron post negative **** on a message board of a school they support?? Plus why do you care it’s not like you go to games definitely ain’t giving ****. I bet you didn’t even attend MSU. So Perd it’s you who needs to STF up.
Look it again it’s for PY 24-25. In other words it’s last year when we actually started getting or par with NIL and funding. Not discounting Lebbys year one but, Lebbys first year with actual money to spend we finished 5-8 and has an opportunity at three other wins. You have to look at this number through that lens. The 2-10 year of 24 was always going to be rough year no matter who the coach was. The talent and NIL situation was abysmal. Maybe another coach could have won 1 or two more games but people don’t understand how bad our roster was in 24.If we aren't hopefully behind in NIL donations, then Lebby's strongest argument ("it's not like anyone else would do any better here!") is discredited.
Well you better hope you're right and that he pulls off 3 upsets in September, or there's almost no chance of that happeningAll that said he has to win 7 this year
Sooooooo……you don’t know the donation amount. How about you STFU.
You are one of the worst fans in here. All you do is write some lengthy BS jargon that you think is smart and makes you look intelligent but it doesn’t it just shows your ignorance.
LOL. No, it doesn’t. You continue to not understand this. None of the reported NIL amounts from any schools (no matter the source) includes the revenue share number. None of them. Because revenue share is not NIL.By your “logic” yes we had around 15MM in REV share and added to that from donations and like to get to over 30MM…. that’s still a substantial amount of money and gets us in a very very competitive position.
No, it doesn’t. Again, for the one millionth + 1 time, It means they have $40MM in NIL. Just NIL. Then they have another $15MM from revenue share. So, $55MM total, compared to our $30MM. Almost double the investment. That’s how big the gap is.You know what JA!! This also means that Ohio state lsu and whomever else that are at 40MM has the exact same 15MM but added another 20-25MM in NIL.
We. Do. Not. Have. $30MM. In. NIL.No one including me has ever said we are the same position as Ohio state Michigan or others. But 30MM for NIL, a top half of the league in donations and funding for facilities puts a lot of your logic and others out of business.
I know. I’m pagan…..just pagan.God forbid we do something positive with athletics, no posters like you live to just 17n be negative. Continuing a long tradition of having the absolutely dumbest leadership of any school In the country. If you read the article in more detail, of the SEC programs in the top 10 of donations, we are the only school that had $0 earmarked for football.
That's a problem!
This isn't just about NIL.So why are our recruiting classes consistently in the bottom 1/4 of the SEC?
Its unbelievable really.Only sixpackers would take this link and find a negative. Rinse repeat.
This isn't NIL money. Its athletic money.Makes me think we should fire Lebby now. Complete mismanagement.
If howard donated the money specifically for the indoor facility then how was it mismanaged?Would receiving $60 million in athletic donations in a calendar year to ascend to middle of the pack in potential NIL funds, but then squandering half of it on something like this below qualify as “mismanaging of capital”?

What about his post is dumb?you a dumb stupid boy
No he didn't.and insinuates that we are suddenly major players.
I wish he was a better NIL fund raiser and football coach hirer. This isn't just about NIL.
If you can't see that Zac Selmon is a good fundraiser FFS man stop handling other peoples money.
It's not the leadership that earmarks donations. It's the person making the donation.Continuing a long tradition of having the absolutely dumbest leadership of any school In the country.
I wish we had saban in his prime but its really not that 17ing easy.I wish he was a better NIL fund raiser and football coach hirer.
It's a bit more of a 2-way street than that. A good AD will convince the donor what the best use of the money is.It's not the leadership that earmarks donations. It's the person making the donation.
Don’t try to argue with dumbest most ignorant people within the MSU fan base. Sixpackspeak. What about his post is dumb?
are you saying the tweet is inaccurate?
Can I ask something? I am in with those guys that do not agree with you. Am I dumb and ignorant as well? I think it is kind of a bad look to call anyone that does not agree with you dumb.Don’t try to argue with dumbest most ignorant people within the MSU fan base. Sixpackspeak.
Tell me how ignorant you are about NIl and Rev share without telling me your ignorant about nil and Rev shareSooooooo……you don’t know the donation amount.

You’ll find the echo chamber you so desperately seek there.
Here’s my beef… it’s an article that paints MSU in a positive light amongst our peers yet we have page and post after post down playing the article. We have posters looking under every rock to describe and discredit said article. If that’s not dumb then I don’t know what it’s. Same posters are over in other threads b!tchin about we never get positive press and articles. Now you tell me what looks dumb. Can I ask something? I am in with those guys that do not agree with you. Am I dumb and ignorant as well? I think it is kind of a bad look to call anyone that does not agree with you dumb.
I just like to remind goat he's dumb.Don’t try to argue with dumbest most ignorant people within the MSU fan base. Sixpackspeak.
What do you disagree with? Can I ask something? I am in with those guys that do not agree with you. Am I dumb and ignorant as well? I think it is kind of a bad look to call anyone that does not agree with you dumb.
So Texas has $25 million in NIL compared to our maybe $15 million. 40% more than we have now…..just to go 9-3 and lose to Florida.Tell me how ignorant you are about NIl and Rev share without telling me your ignorant about nil and Rev share
So hold on. Is raising NIL money important or not?So Texas has $25 million in NIL compared to our maybe $15 million. 40% more than we have now…..just to go 9-3 and lose to Florida.
What are you trying to prove with this?
You said they had 15MM plus 40MM which once again was incorrect. Your trying your damndest to make us look bad for what reason…So Texas has $25 million in NIL compared to our maybe $15 million. 40% more than we have now…..just to go 9-3 and lose to Florida.
What are you trying to prove with this?
Right, so Selmon should’ve “convinced” all of the baseball donors to earmark their money for football? It's a bit more of a 2-way street than that. A good AD will convince the donor what the best use of the money is.
I hope this is rage baitThis explains the rumors about our 2027 baseball NIL being equal football.
