Been to Paris a number of times and never had any problems. As for the game, who really cares. The NFL would play a game in North Korea if they thought it would make them more money.
I despise them. I always forget they're on. I do farm chores early Sunday because in my mind I have till 1 pm to complete the tasks. Come in and boom on the bottom ticker the score of the game. I think I've only caught the tail end of maybe two of them when I got done early.

Same. Been to Paris 5 times now and never had a single issue. Now…go to Madrid, and if they sense you’re an American, they’ll laugh in your face while they take your money.

Pittsburgh area was a French colonial settlement for a little while around Fort Duquesne - a military outpost established by the French in 1754 at the confluence of the Allegheny and Monongahela rivers (modern-day Downtown Pittsburgh).

Of course New Orleans had and still has French culture. I would guess NFL knows about these things (at least in Saints case)

The teams pick a foreign country(s) to be their international marketing outreach base.

There's actually a large contingent of American football fans in France.

There was a guy a couple of years ago, he's the president of the NY Jets fan club in France. He coordinates his US trips to fit in as many sporting events as possible: NFL, MLB, College football. He came to a couple of Rutgers football games over the years (brought me a great bottle of French wine last time).

Very interesting, I hadn't thought of all that. All that had occurred to me was that the French would like the New Orleans helmets...

Yes its an interesting area with Michigan also having had French forts. "Detroit" means "strait" in French and there was a Fort Detroit where there was a battle with the Odawas who were led by Chief Pontiac. Fort Detroit in Michigan (1701) was founded by Antoine Laumet de Lamothe Cadillac. ( Lot of car names lol). The French and Indian Wars were related to the Seven Years War that Churchill called "The first world War" because it involved so many places around the world. France has more brunettes and France is one reason. US had more Nordic blondes than them

The Steelers demanded France , Aaron Rodgers wouldn't sign unless he got a free trip to Paris
The NFL is sending the Saints there to get rid of them by claiming New Orleans was never part of the Louisiana Purchase and demand the French keep them .:D
