3rd place after R1, then the round of the day in R2 to lead by 5! Should be in a good position to defend our seed and maybe get an event win.

Can cheat off the Instagram post…looks like our lineup will be some combination of our normal 5 + Ng.

It’s gotten tighter. We are 2 clear with 10or so total holes left to play. We’re having a good round but so are some of the teams around us.

We went down two strokes but now tied. Clemson one hole to play, us 3.

ETA: Clemson bogeyed their last home. We’re up 1 with one par 5 to play by Prats-Riguel

So if I understand the match play bracket format correctly:
  • 6 seed #12 UNC will play 3 seed #8 WF 7:30 AM tomorrow in the quarterfinal
  • 3/6 winner will play 2 seed #26 SMU 1:30 PM tomorrow in the semifinal
  • Semifinals winners play in the championship on Sunday at 9 AM

This morning’s match, like yesterday’s fight for the final match play spot, came down to Prats-Rigual’s final hole. She again came through with a par on 18 to halve the hole and lock it up for UNC. Her opponent had eagled the 17th to beat our birdie. So it was high pressure.

We’re now playing SMU in the semis. We’re losing but it’s tight and fairly early.

We lost pretty easily to SMU. Probably tough to play your 2nd round of the day against a team that is playing their first.

dook got waxed by Stanford in the same situation

Solid first day. Finished -6, Streicher leading at -5. Were 5 up on second place Texas and 8 up on the 3 teams tied for fourth (including Lol right now)

Still early, so not counting our chickens by any means. But I love that we are defending our turf.

As of right now it is shaping up to be quite the battle for that 5th spot. 4 teams within one stroke for spots 3-6 and one will not make the cut

Looks like #5 Texas will post the only under par score today with a whopping -9 to take the regional lead. That means UNC finishing even will be the 2nd best round of today, but drops us to 2nd place. But still 18 strokes above the cutoff through 2 rounds.

NCSU makes a surge, in a good position to advance as well.
