Has our golf team ever been ranked at the beginning of the season. If so, it has been quite a while. Congratulations to the coaching staff, Neff and company. This program has been on the rise ever since she has become the head coach. Go Heels!

Just going by stats from last year, our #5 Vu & #6 Southerland did not play. last year's #7 Prats-Rigual (mid-season enrollee) stepped in admirably

Roster from last year with average score and current year: (crossed through no longer on team)
  1. Streicher: 72.10 Sr
  2. Iadpluem: 72.6 Jr
  3. Yeung: 73.2
  4. Ng 73.3 Sr
  5. Vu: 73.82 So
  6. Southerland 74.07 Jr
  7. Prats-Rigual 74.89 So
  8. Quartermain 77.67
We did not see Freshmen Yu nor Ridenour. We added no transfers. So as of right now we are rolling with basically the same starters as last season, Souterland/Vu/Prats-Rigual possibly TBD for 5th spot?

Down to 6th, NC State, VT are teams ahead of us unexpectedly.

Wake/Kentucky are the teams unexpectedly behind us.

Not bad without Streicher. Local frosh Ridenour is the low member of the team but playing as an individual.

Finished 6th, didn't move positions at all. Very good result without Streicher. Honestly could see her having pushed us into 4th.

Frosh Ridenour actually placed best as an individual.

Well we have Megan's decision and it is just beautifully put. Streicher has chosen to delay her pro career to graduate at UNC and finish her senior golf season!

This is a must read:

This is what college sports is supposed to be about.
