Actually he was good. Not great, but certainly above average defensively.
I’m only arguing that Ford was more qualified than Mark Pope, which honestly both are not qualified for the Kentucky job. I’m just saying Ford is more qualified than Mark Pope.
It's really not close, especially after you factor in what Pope did 2 seasons ago.
But I'm still trying to figure out why a guy that claimed "white privilege", is arguing in favor of Barnhart hiring Travis Ford instead of Mark Pope. Is Travis the whitest black man of all time?

Why do you think pope is more qualified than ford? What he did at byu and Utah valley, Travis did it at umass and St. Louis. Only difference is ford won 2 conference championships. Ford even won at EKU.

You're assuming that and you're most likely wrong. Mark Pope actually knows the game very well, but his issue is, he's not very good at mentally preparing his team and substitutions.
Rondo has one of the worst tempers I've ever seen. That was a massive issue when he was with Boston. He was a volcano about to erupt and he did erupt many times.

Calipari was a players coach and now every good coach worth a damn has caught on to that style of recruiting…we have regressed and are recruiting like they did in the 70’s. Popes way will not work here… he can not relate to high school stars or in the portal for that matter.

Oweh was always stuck guarding the best player and then being expected to shoulder the load of scoring. Without him this team is lucky to win 12-15 games. Did he have some lapse of course but he was still our best player IMO.
Yet he consistently gets trashed on here. It shows just how clueless a large part of our fanbase is.

Only reason he’s getting a year three is because Mitch Barnhart is the athletic Director still. If Barney had been let go last year, I don’t think Pope would be here. I think he’d be gone.
