Don’t bother or no need to explain anything to RIGI… he absolutely wants PSU and the new coach to fail.. he is a complete tool and has nothing but hate for PSU and love for BGJ
Wasn't that you the last 14 years?

Absolutely not DA… Go back and find a few posts where I spoke in the way you’re insinuating and share them with the group..Wasn't that you the last 12 years?

Chesney is doing great building a recruiting class at UCLA. PSU and UCLA have similarly rated classes at this point. I love what CMC is doing for us building great culture and a great class, but maybe we could not have gone wrong with either coach. This is an interesting OSU take on the subject.
UK has a new coaching staff as well.O'Neil made a comment about two months ago, that no one was recruiting him harder than PSU, but he also made a comment the other day that PSU had very little contact with him until MC became the head coach. Combine those two together and it shows O'Neil just had long term relationship with the staffs at ND and UK, and there was nothing Campbell could do to make that up.
It is going to be a problem with the top end kids in PA this year and any top end kids in the region. What PSU has going for us is that Campbell is going to be able to bring in midwest kids that we are normally never going to get, and that is going to make up a lot more of the class in 2027. We already see that happening
Next year it will be less of an issue, but it is the same problem with Sesay. PSU is doing all they can just to get an OV from the kid. Campbell is way behind the curve with that kid, and you cant build up trust in a day or a month.

I stated that earlier. I think this was about $ and ND apparently has more than PSU and UK was apparently ready to bid very high.UK has a new coaching staff as well.

OR STFU
It would be great to land him. ND will be a big challenge as usual and Trautwein is at Florida. He did originally commit to us so hopefully that means something.
Maybe. But, with USC in the same neighborhood, it will be tough to break out of their shadow.
Chesney could be better than Riley and Riley can't get a defense. It would be great to see both schools in the top 20 or even top 10.Maybe. But, with USC in the same neighborhood, it will be tough to break out of their shadow.
He’s right in our backyard. You have to seal the deal with these kids.It would be great to land him. ND will be a big challenge as usual and Trautwein is at Florida. He did originally commit to us so hopefully that means something.
I get it but we lost all the momentum with him with the coaching change. ND beats us for every elite prospect currently. Annoying but the reality. He’s right in our backyard. You have to seal the deal with these kids.

Well, it appears that are putting the work in to get him to PSU. We’ll see where the chips fall.
You have to love these stories in college football lately starting with Cignetti and now Chesney. Chesney was just coaching Holy Cross in 2023, never coached in power 4 at any level, and now he has the number 4 rated recruiting class in college football. Of course we’ll find out what he’s made of when he coaches his first Big Ten game at UCLA, but I’m impressed thus far. I wonder if the AD at JMU has been picked up by a power football school yet as he obviously has an eye for coaching talent.Chesney could be better than Riley and Riley can't get a defense. Things are changing in the Big Ten and I think for the better with the flush of these young and rather unheralded coaches except for Cignetti not being so young. You have to love these stories in college football lately starting with Cignetti and now Chesney. In the universe of infinite possibilities, there is a timeline in which we hired Chesney and then Michigan gets Campbell. I prefer our timeline in which Michigan lands the inferior coach.Things are changing in the Big Ten and I think for the better with the flush of these young and rather unheralded coaches except for Cignetti not being so young.
The one change I still don't understand is the Cheatigan, aka Skunk Bear hire. I just don't expect that one to go well.
This is one I hope we land as he has great size in high school and does not have to gain another 25 pounds in college like many edge prospects. The recruiting services are all over the place on him, but overall he’s a composite 4 star from upstate ny and has attracted offers from the south as well (Georgia, Tennessee, Florida.)
Interesting he is 235 on 247 but 260 on on3.Except he will gain just like every other 18 year old. Right now he is a 260lb dt.
I hope he doesn't visit Georgia. We always come up short to the Bulldogs after a visit. This is one I hope we land as he has great size in high school and does not have to gain another 25 pounds in college like many edge prospects. Jones would be a huge win considering the competition. Very happy about Gibson as well.RPMs for Aiden Gibson and Carter Jones today.

This is what a billionaire donor allows you to do.
Who do they have as possible Edge guys? They lost out on O’Neil and Sesay may be out of our price range, although I sure hope not. Losing out on three 5 star recruits in PA would sting. Our uptick in recruiting over the last month tells me that this staff is feeling comfortable with their new surroundings. The feeling out stage is over. It's hunting season.
