That guy gave PSU's defense fits last year at Rutgres and almost stole that game. QB threw for 338 yards and 3 TD's, the lead RB ran for 189 yards and averaged 6.5ypc, and time of possession was in their favor. The lost fumble may have cost them that game.

He also had a great game plan at Minnesota in 2019 when they upset PSU. They didn't run the ball well, but the QB played lights out and they absolutely dominated TOP. Their offense had a lot of help from a very good defensive secondary.

How does someone that can do that with middling talent at places like Rutgres and Minnesota have his offense perform so poorly, with considerably more talent at PSU, that he gets fired?

He got canned after the Covid year I believe. Big Game of course took no accountability and blamed it on Ciarrocca. At that same time he had identified Mike Yurcich as the savior so hires him. That results in a putrid passing game so he gets fired during the '23 season I believe. Again it was all on Yurcich and not Big Game. So he then turns to Kotelnicki. Now this time we have it right folks. Until we don't. Common theme?? I will say it again. Big Game should have been canned after '21. Give him a pass for the Covid meltdown but then not having a backup QB ready in '21 was criminal. Plus losing that Illinois game. God help us.
