Even Oscar Combs don't like it.
I do everything humanly possible to avoid advertising. I hate it in all its forms. Even when/if I listen to KSR, I stop the stream when they go to commercial, wait a few minutes, then check to see if it’s over. If one of them does a live ad read, I stop the stream. Granted, that results in what feels like about 15 minutes of content per hour. It’s generally why, if I listen, I prefer podcast. At this point, **** it. Catch me in the back 40 living off the land. I'm tired of brands making everything shittier and vying for advertising where it's not wanted.
I would disagree that you really “get it“. We’re talking about money that was originally raised (not just through legislation, but also private donations) based upon the name of the building being a tribute to veterans who died defending our country.I get it. I understand today's college athletics, but I don't like it. Also, this isn't a full brand endorsement. It will still be HMC by Kroger or whatever they choose. This leads me to ask how much? I suspect it will be much less than the Kroger field deal. The number needs to be significant enough to move the needle or I hate it.
I did not take that into consideration and respect your opinion. I hope it doesn't get changed.I would disagree that you really “get it“. I’m not saying that you thought about this completely based on that context before you said what you did. In other words I’m not calling you out and not putting you down.
But if after realizing that private donations were used by people who (I’m sure many) had relatives that died in World War II, in addition to legislation that confirmed the money being spent was going to pay Tribute to those veterans; if you still feel that way, then I would call you out for dishonoring the memory of people who died to keep us free. But again, I’m assuming that you didn’t realize what I said above.
Weren’t y’all just begging for games to be streamed on Amazon Prime to be like Duke and make more money just the other day? This sucks. Tradition protects nothing from the forces of greed nowadays.
Hell, maybe one day we can just sell off the name of the whole university for the really big bucks. Perhaps University of Kroger to keep the UK!
I'll be cold in the ground before I call it anything but Commonwealth Stadium. I do the same ****. **** advertising.I do everything humanly possible to avoid advertising. I hate it in all its forms. they will sell the naming rights, but it will always be Memorial Coliseum. Commonwealth Stadium will always be Commonwealth.
Soon they’ll just beam the ad straight into your brain. But don’t fear; you can opt out for the low price of $99.99 per month (subject to change).I do everything humanly possible to avoid advertising. I hate it in all its forms. Same with me except I will NEVER use the awful field name in conversation.I'll be cold in the ground before I call it anything but Commonwealth Stadium. I do the same ****. **** advertising.
Choosing not to sell is also the free market.Well, that’s the “free market”. Isn’t that what everyone wants? So confused here.
Not at all. It’s a joke. Mitch ruined our program.Something isn't adding up with this JMI deal. Lots of questions need to be answered.
That’s the beauty of it, no pesky rules from the government!Choosing not to sell is also the free market.
