What do we even do with that money that we weren't doing in the Big 12?
The money is obviously working for the big 10. Big 12, ACC are going to die as conferences and best teams will be poached by SEC and BIG 10, but best conference will be the big 10...the problem is we have to play against an even playing field since everybody is making money. And Nebraska hasn't been good once the odds are even.

You're always hyping the Big 12. Why would we want to take a 50 percent pay cut and play a bunch of lame teams? Doesn't make sense. Ive been saying for 5 years its the Big 10 and SEC. And Nebraska isn't South or East so that leaves the Big 10.
You always bring this up out of nowhere.

Apropos of nothing.

Somehow try to get smarter.

And every time you don't want to face the reality that Nebraska is in the Big 10. The Big 10 pays the bills. I don't understand why that is so hard for you to comprehend?

Yeah, none of this money has brought me any personal happiness. Zero tangible joy whatsoever. That's really all I care about. Therefor, it's not something I choose to celebrate.

The most personal enjoyment I've gotten from the football program in a very very long time was our win at home 2 years ago against Colorado. Not a college football juggernaut. But a former Big 12 rival with some great history. Night game, lots of hype building up to it, all the theatrics. I don't know, for some reason I liked that better than getting butt raped by a bunch of bigger name programs (and some not so big names) while watching the people responsible for it count their money.

I know we're never going back to the Big 12 and I'm not even really pushing for it (although I wouldn't be opposed). But that doesn't mean I have to like it.

Missouri says hi.

Zero question the SEC would be a muuuuuuuuuch better conference for us than the B1G. If the money is comparable and the losses are comparable, give me the SEC ten ways to Sunday and it's not even close.

Well we wouldn’t have one the best if not they best football facilities in the country and why would we want to be in that conference when Oklahoma,Texas, Missouri and AtM no longer play in it and have moved up to big and better things.

I told you why. Because none of it has brought me any enjoyment. And there's zero indication that will change anytime soon. Pretty simple.

This is sooooo well said!

I don't care about the money at all. I care about road trips that don't take 11 hours in a car.

Being in the BIG hasn't helped our football team one iota, but has it helped our other team sports?

Volleyball is the only team sport, the rest are afterthoughts in the B1G. Baseball and softball were basically club sports in the B1G, they finally seemed to start caring a bit recently. Jim Delaney wanted to leave the CWS because Northern teams weren't competitive.

With the 4 west coast teams joining the conference the baseball league is more respectable than before.

Baseball wise we were better off in the Big 12 before we left, but now that Texas, OU and AtM have moved to the SEC the Big 12 is no longer the same league now too.

Time has a way of wiping away the bad memories. Being Texas' whipping boy both on the field and in the Big 12 Conference offices wasn't a real fun experience either. There are bullies wherever you go.

Bad memories are very clear. Time hasn't wiped it away at all for me. Problem is, we just traded one set of problems for another and gained a whole lot more, as far as I'm concerned, as a football fan.

But, hey...money money money for all the people responsible, right?

Plus cheering on all our opponenets gives @HBK4life_rivals100467 a reason to get out of bed in the morning. So, I'm happy for him.
