What do we even do with that money that we weren't doing in the Big 12?
New track. Baseball and softball both getting new 5 million dollar clubhouses. What do we even do with that money that we weren't doing in the Big 12?
The money is obviously working for the big 10. Big 12, ACC are going to die as conferences and best teams will be poached by SEC and BIG 10, but best conference will be the big 10...the problem is we have to play against an even playing field since everybody is making money. And Nebraska hasn't been good once the odds are even. What do we even do with that money that we weren't doing in the Big 12?
So, you would rather play nobodies in the Big 12 for half the cash? Smart.Best day of the year for us!!
Still think we should have a media check day party
it would sell out in seconds
What? So, you would rather play nobodies in the Big 12 for half the cash? Smart.
You're always hyping the Big 12. Why would we want to take a 50 percent pay cut and play a bunch of lame teams? Doesn't make sense. Ive been saying for 5 years its the Big 10 and SEC. And Nebraska isn't South or East so that leaves the Big 10.What?

And every time you don't want to face the reality that Nebraska is in the Big 10. The Big 10 pays the bills. I don't understand why that is so hard for you to comprehend? You always bring this up out of nowhere.
Apropos of nothing.
Somehow try to get smarter.

Dannen still waiting for your yearly contribution to the Huskers Athletic Fund. What?
I think we should throw a B1G media check day party every year and sell tickets to it
all proceeds to the BOR’s pockets!

Well we wouldn’t have one the best if not they best football facilities in the country and why would we want to be in that conference when Oklahoma,Texas, Missouri and AtM no longer play in it and have moved up to big and better things.Yeah, none of this money has brought me any personal happiness. Zero tangible joy whatsoever. That's really all I care about. Therefor, it's not something I choose to celebrate.
The most personal enjoyment I've gotten from the football program in a very very long time was our win at home 2 years ago against Colorado. Not a college football juggernaut. But a former Big 12 rival with some great history. Night game, lots of hype building up to it, all the theatrics. I don't know, for some reason I liked that better than getting butt raped by a bunch of bigger name programs (and some not so big names) while watching the people responsible for it count their money.
I know we're never going back to the Big 12 and I'm not even really pushing for it (although I wouldn't be opposed). But that doesn't mean I have to like it.

54-69 since Pelini era is good reason why there hasn’t been a lot celebrating.I told you why. Because none of it has brought me any enjoyment. And there's zero indication that will change anytime soon. Pretty simple.
This is sooooo well said!Yeah, none of this money has brought me any personal happiness. Zero tangible joy whatsoever. That's really all I care about. Therefor, it's not something I choose to celebrate.

Creating a rainy day fund for when Paul Blart the Mall Cop is fired and his golden parachute comes due. What do we even do with that money that we weren't doing in the Big 12?
Playoff payout, this was for 2 years ago when all 3 made the playoffs. Why does ohio, penn and indy get more?
Being in the BIG hasn't helped our football team one iota, but has it helped our other team sports?
Being in the BIG hasn't helped our football team one iota, but has it helped our other team sports?
Volleyball is the only team sport, the rest are afterthoughts in the B1G. Baseball and softball were basically club sports in the B1G, they finally seemed to start caring a bit recently. Jim Delaney wanted to leave the CWS because Northern teams weren't competitive.
With the 4 west coast teams joining the conference the baseball league is more respectable than before.Being in the BIG hasn't helped our football team one iota, but has it helped our other team sports?
And that’s just the revenue from athletics. I could be wrong but I believe the increase in dollars coming in from academic grants etc is similarly larger compared to what we would generate as a member of the Big 12.So, you would rather play nobodies in the Big 12 for half the cash? Smart.
Did we really have a “history” with UT, TT, and TA$M? If we can’t beat teams in the B1G….So, you would rather get consistently bent over by a bunch of "somebodies" (who we have no history with) and watch the people responsible line their pockets? Weird.
Time has a way of wiping away the bad memories. Being Texas' whipping boy both on the field and in the Big 12 Conference offices wasn't a real fun experience either. There are bullies wherever you go.
We have a lot of history with Minnesota that people don’t realize.Did we really have a “history” with UT, TT, and TA$M? If we can’t beat teams in the B1G….
Sure thing, iowa fanDannen still waiting for your yearly contribution to the Huskers Athletic Fund.
People forget that our history includes playing Iowa, Minnesota etc.We have a lot of history with Minnesota that people don’t realize.
Nebraska has actually played Minnesota more times than Ohio State has.
