Fever have shot 38 FTs but only hitting 68%.In impressed they are calling fouls.. how long will that last
I'd add Traylor but it will hard for her to make the roster.Raven and Walker-Kimbrough have looked good among newbies. Not sure anyone else has.
Surprised they signed her for 2 more years.Dantas 0 for 100
Too early to tell IMO. It's only one preseason game but we'll have to wait and see.I didn't see the game, interesting stat Clark 11/13 free throws in 16 minutes. WNBA finally get smart and are going to protect the face of the league that's going to make the league profitable?
Not really. She beat them around the corner and they cheated and were called for it. They only had one flagrant 1 but it wasn’t malicious, just closed the gap too hard and ran into Clark.I didn't see the game, interesting stat Clark 11/13 free throws in 16 minutes. This blatant beat down of Caitlyn is going to make me a non fan. I wasn't a fan before, like the whole world wasn't a fan. They allow this bs thug crap this year in going to be really pissedNot really. She beat them around the corner and they cheated and were called for it. She almost had a double double (8 points 7 rebounds and 3 steals) in 13 minutes.
These tweets are so disingenuous.

She's the butter on the bread. She single handedly brought the WNBA to a semblance of relevancy.
Thankfully it is an unprotected contract.Surprised they signed her for 2 more years.
Preseason don't over analyze.I don't understand this idea of making the best point guard in the WNBA play off the ball. Why would you take the ball away from a point guard capable of 19 assists in a single game? It makes no sense at all.
Problem is that this is two straight WNBA coaches that have tried to do this. They keep on trying to "outsmart the room" as coaches. She will need possessions where she isn't the primary ball handler bringing the ball up the court, for "rest" and to combat defensive tactics attacking her. But the goal should be to get it back in her hands at least once in every non-fast break offensive possession. Offenses at this level rarely work when players play like black holes. Move the ball enough and you will find an open shot, especially the player with perhaps the best court vision of any women's player in history.Preseason don't over analyze.
Thanks to Caitlin (and likely her partner and now teammate, Paige), she is getting paid $500,000 this season.

Everything is because of Caitlin.
Thank you Caitlin. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU
Crazy that the TV deal isn't only fever games. Caitlin did this!
28 consecutive years of losing money before 2024. Please tell us what prompted the sudden change in the WNBA's fortunes.Everything is because of Caitlin.

Owners pocketing money. How come once Caitlin came to the league owners were now buying and selling teams Cailtin had no part of for hundreds of millions of dollars?28 consecutive years of losing money before 2024. Please tell us what prompted the sudden change in the WNBA's fortunes.
You didn't anwer the question. I'll ask again - what happened in 2024 to create value after 28 years of operating in the red?Owners pocketing money. How come once Caitlin came to the league owners were now buying and selling teams Cailtin had no part of for hundreds of millions of dollars?
New TV deal prompted the sudden change. If it was all about Caitlin why are other teams on TV?

Nor did ANY of them Man or Woman score just short of FOUR thousand points, lead the nation in scoring three years, and was second the only other year. OH, and she led the nation three of four years in assists and was second the other year. The ONLY woman to lead the nation in points and assists in the same season, (and she did it three times). ONE male did that ONCE. ONLY player to score over 3000 points and have over 1000 assists. Holds SIXTY FOUR NCAA or B1G conference records. SIXTY FOUR. OH, and she sold out every areana Iowa played in home or away, and brought MILLIONS of $$ to the University, Iowa City, and Iowa as well as many other the opponenets schools as a whole. THATS why she was (and is) on TV all the time. Your saying that Fudd deserves to make more or the same as Clark? That's insane....I explained why they were "losing money."
Sure she put eyes on the product, but there is a lot more to the WNBA than CC. It's attitudes like this that really make people dislike Iowa/Indiana fans, just so you know.
I love CC but there is so much talent in the WNBA that it's just a **** thing to say whenever someone besides her gets paid.
Mitchell deserves that contract. Fuzz deserves that contract, Reese deservers her contract, and it's just a ****** thing to tell them to thank Clark any time a number is brought up.
And to be completely clear, I think NIL did just as much heavy lifting as Clark did. Clark wouldn't be nearly as popular without her being in every other commercial her Jr/Sr years. The players didn't have those opportunities the 28 years before her.
Relax, no one is denying she's a great player.Nor did ANY of them Man or Woman score just short of FOUR thousand points, lead the nation in scoring three years, and was second the only other year. Okay there's an argument to be made there, BUT here's my counter to that. WHY were NONE of those women getting bubkas for advertising deals when they've been pro's for years? Why? Because nobody gave a crap, and they didn't move the needle like Clark does. Have you noticed since Clarks been in the league that some of those players are getting ads now, even retired players like Sue Bird. How many times did you see WNBA players in main stream ads before Clark literally knocked the door down?Relax, no one is denying she's a great player.
What I'm saying is players like Candice Parker, Britney Greiner, Sabrina Ionescu.. many more great players who didn't get NIL. They could have all had major deals like Clark and brought a following to the WNBA.
Clark came along at the right time.
