Boston and Hull will help. RN it’s pretty much just KM as a scoring threat when Clark is on the bench.

I didn't see the game, interesting stat Clark 11/13 free throws in 16 minutes. WNBA finally get smart and are going to protect the face of the league that's going to make the league profitable?
Too early to tell IMO. It's only one preseason game but we'll have to wait and see.

Not really. She beat them around the corner and they cheated and were called for it. They only had one flagrant 1 but it wasn’t malicious, just closed the gap too hard and ran into Clark.

This blatant beat down of Caitlyn is going to make me a non fan. I wasn't a fan before, like the whole world wasn't a fan. They allow this bs thug crap this year in going to be really pissed
She's the butter on the bread. She single handedly brought the WNBA to a semblance of relevancy.

She almost had a double double (8 points 7 rebounds and 3 steals) in 13 minutes.

These tweets are so disingenuous.

Surprised they signed her for 2 more years.
Thankfully it is an unprotected contract.

I think this front office rested too much on the laurels of making the semis last year and decided to mostly run it back while other teams improved. Retaining Dantas instead of looking for a better backup big is a major problem. Signing KM to a super max contract was an overpayment, thankfully it is only a one year contract.

If Boston’s injury lingers, this team is going to be in trouble. Add to that Sophie coming back from injury as a key depth piece. Hope they prove me wrong, but the season is so short that a lingering injury could cause major damage to their place in the standings.

Preseason don't over analyze.
Problem is that this is two straight WNBA coaches that have tried to do this. They keep on trying to "outsmart the room" as coaches. She will need possessions where she isn't the primary ball handler bringing the ball up the court, for "rest" and to combat defensive tactics attacking her. But the goal should be to get it back in her hands at least once in every non-fast break offensive possession. Offenses at this level rarely work when players play like black holes. Move the ball enough and you will find an open shot, especially the player with perhaps the best court vision of any women's player in history.

I don't understand this idea of making the best point guard in the WNBA play off the ball. Why would you take the ball away from a point guard capable of 19 assists in a single game? It makes no sense at all.

1. If CC learns how to play off the ball better it will make her life so much easier.

2. If teams are going to press her 94 feet, then she's going to be exhausted by the 4th quarter

3. She's going to be playing with three other all stars. Sometimes they're going to run sets for those players and let them cook

Its like you have not watched how physical every game is, regardless of who is playing.

28 consecutive years of losing money before 2024. Please tell us what prompted the sudden change in the WNBA's fortunes.
Owners pocketing money. How come once Caitlin came to the league owners were now buying and selling teams Cailtin had no part of for hundreds of millions of dollars?

New TV deal prompted the sudden change. If it was all about Caitlin why are other teams on TV?

You didn't anwer the question. I'll ask again - what happened in 2024 to create value after 28 years of operating in the red?

I explained why they were "losing money."

Sure she put eyes on the product, but there is a lot more to the WNBA than CC. It's attitudes like this that really make people dislike Iowa/Indiana fans, just so you know.

I love CC but there is so much talent in the WNBA that it's just a **** thing to say whenever someone besides her gets paid.

Mitchell deserves that contract. Fuzz deserves that contract, Reese deservers her contract, and it's just a ****** thing to tell them to thank Clark any time a number is brought up.

And to be completely clear, I think NIL did just as much heavy lifting as Clark did. Clark wouldn't be nearly as popular without her being in every other commercial her Jr/Sr years. The players didn't have those opportunities the 28 years before her.
