It felt like the Pens were on the power play most of the OT. Maybe the Flyers were fatigued because every single game since the break has been close to a must win. They've been grinding for 2 months straight whereas the Pens rested everyone with 4 games left. They sure had the fresher legs in OT.
I don’t think the goalie has seen the puck to this day. He never saw it. He was moving left, and it went in the top right corner.
I think Primo finally won that game in five over times I stayed up for the whole thing
Hartnell was talking sweep at the end of Game 3. Knucklehead was part of a reverse sweep and should know better.
Michkov looked good after being scratched Game 5. Going to need him and others to step up if we want any hope of beating the Canes.

For context, after scoring the winning goal in OT, York threw his stick into the stands. The post-game show wanted the person that got the stick to contact them, and it was mentioned it lot in social media.
I missed this in real time. I don't think I've ever seen this before. Crazy.
Is the NHL this incompetent? You're now splitting the Philly market between 2 teams on Saturday night. Carolina fans are pissed given a one day notice for game 1. They certainly didn't do the Flyers any favors. We'll be at a wedding on LBI, gonna need multiple tv's somewhere.
If ifs and buts were candy and nuts what a wonderful Christmas we would all have.
NHL wanted a game for Saturday night. It was either this series or Wild/Avs. The Wild would have had a few hours less turnaround time than the Flyers.
I did not have my hopes up for the Flyers to win too many games in this series, and last night did not change any of those thoughts. I get it, "it's only game 1." But even with that said, I'm hoping this experience in these playoffs—and seeing some success—will positively set them up for the upcoming seasons.
Can the Flyers score just once on a 1-0 break (not limited to a classic breakaway)? How many did they have against the Pens?
This OT was the reverse of the one against the Penguins. Had more of the chances and shots on goal, but couldn’t put any away. Allowed the opponent to finally capitalize. Bottom line is that a lot of power plays went scoreless. I think this was the game they needed if they wanted to really challenge for the series, unfortunately.
tough one for the Fly Guys. They were up 2-0 after 5 minutes of play. Carolina seemed to be the better team in the 3rd period, and tied the game, 2-2. The Flyers seemed to be the better team in OT, but a bit of a fluky goal by Carolina late in the 1st OT.
