Of course but it would need to be an obvious stud like Wilson or Stokes. I don't see this reclass kid as on their level.
im just saying its not good practice to "punt" on a hs class and miss on everyone impactful just to miss on everyone in the portal as well
He’ll be 19 in May, I really don’t think his goal is to reclass just to sit, could definitely be wrong, though.

It has absolutely shown older is better to win games Not even a question. Sure it’s great to have one maybe two young talents, but to win big you need to get older and have experience. Edit, I read your other posts and do agree with a lot of it. We all want the Cooper flags , but we’re having trouble getting the uncle Clarence Flaggs. Lmao.

I think a lot more ubertalented kids will be doing this . Go to HS for a year or go to a top college program and make a couple million.

I don't think that is true anymore. The talent that stayed in College this year is off the wall good. Even guys who were lock draft picks are staying in school now.
Yes. But not at the same school. That’s the point I was making. They’re exceptions of course, but unless they grew up fans of the program or maybe a legacy player, it’s the highest bidder that gets the player.

As much as Louisville is investing in basketball, we will see what Pat Kelsey is made of. He’s going to have to meet some big expectations and pressure that he’s never had to deal with as a coach.
What are you talking about “all you all drool”? the last few years, with NIL and players staying in school, the experience has more value than a freshman new to college. No ones drooling about anything. The older teams are winning more, winning championships. The coach can’t win a game without the players to win.

I think what Hurley May and other coaches have done is remarkable because they dont have the best of the best, but they still win

They 100% have had the best players that made the best teams. Anyone in the country could take that team last season and won. I respect what they’re doing for sure, but without great players they’re just some guys coaching Eastern Michigan or EKU. I’d like to have those two as coaches, because they get the players, not because of their coaching abilities. That’s not to say they don’t make players better or are great X and O guys. They get paid because of the players though.

That roster isn't beating the real teams, UM, UF, UConn,, etc. They'd get beaten down just like they did against Arizona.
Talking about coaches getting great players is making me feel even worse about Kentucky right now. lol
I disagree about the best players part, I think its more about a coaching and game planning thing then a straight up player thing

Cal's schtick isn't going to start winning titles this day and age - if it didn't work when highschool recruiting was the only way, it's certainly not going to work now when you have the portal and euros. He's a S16 max kind of program - they'll win, but they aren't winning titles.
I appreciate your opinion about this but respectfully have to disagree. I’ve heard hundreds of coaches say, “ we’re nothing without the players “! Never heard a player say we are nothing without some dude sitting on the bench. lol. I hear what you’re saying though.

so u gotta take that into consideration
Being able to get great Players can certainly make that happen. Without them you’re always looking for another job.
