I agree with you 100% ….. but I only dislike the childish comments and name calling. As far as Mark Pope goes I have to agree that he’s one of the worst coaches of the modern era. He and Kenny Payne are very close in their ability to be a HEAD coach. Pope is as bad as it gets but some of the labels he’s being given go too far.

I think you're grossly exaggerating how bad a coach is based on two years and the first year by most people was considered quite a success. Is he different from what people expected yes. Should another coach have been hired I believe so.. but you don't beat all the coaches and top 15 teams that he has without being a solid coach. What he's not is a good recruiter.

I mean it would be nice to win a high profile recruiting battle, but I’m not sold on Stokes, and getting a #1 HS kid does not equate to a national title. This one recruiting battle will not define Kentucky or Pope. If Pope loses this battle and goes 40-0 next year no one will care about stokes. If Pope wins this battle and loses another 14 games next year with a 2nd round exit, his time may be done.
Here's the thing fella.Fans for Pope aren't "dragging the program down" nor are fans against " elevating " it. The people that make the decisions don't CARE what we say or think. We have zero effect on their decosion making NONE. Your noble crusade to help " save" the program is as meaningful to the powers that be as a fart in the wind. Your statement about not respecting fans that don't agree with you only shows the poverty of your mind.

We haven’t landed the top recruit in 12 years . It’s not like we get them a lot. If Pope does it. Wow. If not, it’s just par for UK like it’s been for a decade.
A #1 recruit doesn’t guarantee success either. Our last one was Skal. A massive bust.

I get your point and pretty much agree. I kind of lumped coaching and recruiting together because it’s all part of the job. So, I should have been more clear …. but his overall job performance is deplorable.
Have you seen KU's current roster? They are in deeper sh*t than we are.
For how long and at what rate? People will not donate and continue to pay for the product that is out there now. Fact. The university needs donor money more than ever in this era.

Its going from 85% to 2% that's the problem. Pope has failed a critical part of the assignment. It's carries too much weight so to pass would take a miracle.
Can't see him surviving this mess of a recruiting season and don't see us having anything but a bad season at this point. We have less talent than we had this year.
