Yep, give me 65° or warmer, an autograph session where my kids can walk down on the field for a little bit and I’ll gladly spend tons of money in town and on new gear.Don’t over think it. Most folks do not care.
Absolutely it’s good for business in town, no question. And absolutely any kid or even any adult would enjoy the opportunity to step on the field and take in the view from ground level. Done it many times. And yes, 65 degrees would be great, 68 degrees even better. Heck, even the carnival around the stadium is a great idea and event For many families.Yep, give me 65° or warmer, an autograph session where my kids can walk down on the field for a little bit and I’ll gladly spend tons of money in town and on new gear.
Just play a f*cking football game for free. For f*ck’s sake.
Chris talked about it on that segment...it changed when everyone realized that putting film on the BTN of all of our bench players was just inviting every other school to get a free preview of what you have, and make a play at them when the portal opened. We're not alone...more and more schools have moved away from playing an actual game and/or having it televised.Seemed like they hit pinnacle BW Game experience when there was still some kind of game, but there was also a 'carnival' type atmosphere for families, a rally (or something - band performance/cheerleaders?) at the BJC, and it was televised. Not sure when everything went in the crapper, but certainly player injuries are a concern. Shutting it down doesn't make sense given on nice days it can draw over 50,000 people. Just needs to be re-imagined. Weather sucked this year and was a big detriment to folks normally willing to travel.
The B&W games I remember having fun at were in the late 80's early 90's but it was always the scrimmage the week before, the coaches clinic that we could get legit info from. I think it started to go downhill around the "dark years".Seemed like they hit pinnacle BW Game experience when there was still some kind of game, but there was also a 'carnival' type atmosphere for families, a rally (or something - band performance/cheerleaders?) at the BJC, and it was televised. they are pros now- they ain't doing nothing for freeJust play a f*cking football game for free. For f*ck’s sake.
Players would be broke and all the coaches fired before the lots even openCan there be a thumbs up, thumbs down kind of thing? When the fans do thumbs down, the player loses their NIL money or a coach gets fired.
Would spice things up.
Or release real Lions onto the field and see what happens during halftime.

The weather and the stadium construction being this years biggest issues.
And spoiler alert if Joe could have gotten away with doing what CMC did he would have.
So yesterday I’m reading one of Ryan’s recruiting updates and a kid said he liked a PSU coach ‘because he (the coach) doesn’t make it (presumably playing football) like work’ and I’m thinking work? Really, other coaches make playing football like work?they are pros now- they ain't doing nothing for free
